I will try my best to make this a unique mod that is fun and inventive. I plan on breaking the Necromancy world into a kind of mystic science. I also have the school of Necromancy divided into separate meta schools. Flesh, Blood, Bone, Death, Poison, and Curse. Each of which focus on other things.
Some examples of that is, blood. It will focus on healing, through blood manipulative items, and teleportation through blood portals and blood teleporting.
Flesh will be zombie and armor based things. Bone; skeletons and items like picks, swords, and such.
There will be an implemented energy system if I can code it based on souls of killed mobs. It will be used to run the Necrological Machina.
I will try to limit GUIs where possible and try to keep multi-block structures a main source of the Machina.

Just an idea, not sure if it'll work in the grand scheme of things, but seeing as they are "schools", what about there being an association with one other "school", but a complete disagreement with another school, such as Blood is associated with Flesh, but it is not associated with Death. Something like that, but I am simply a man rambling on about ideas. Maybe associations could have a "bonus", but dis-associations would have a "debuff" of some sort. Of course, this would lead to you having to choose a particular affinity for one of the schools when you start the game. Just a few ideas.
If you could find a way to somehow have smart minions we make act like NPC's from Custom NPC's I would die. It would give us a "legit" way of obtaining workers.
Also masks, any Necrologist worth hissaltsoul has a Necromancer mask.

Why would you want that?Bad Luck Mask: Makes the user and all near him unlucky. Lightning loves you, mobs spawn more often nearby, random status ailments, random explosions etc
