UE has changed. Aiden (the Dev of mekanism) split from the UE team and now UE is just resonant induction and ICBM
Didn't know Mekanism split. It still has MPS, MFFS, and Atomic science in addition to that. Add a little Mekanism and you're golden.

Nah you are getting this confused with something Calc said.

UE no longer exists as an entity, it is now just an API and there are mods that use it. Calclavias mods, Resonant Induction (which now also has Darks mods in it), MPS, MPSA, Atomic Science, ICBM, MFFS all use the UE API, but are not UE mods. They are just mods.

Having played the crap out of mindcrack in 1.4.7; I am really enjoying the mods from the UE site and Mekanism. Not too keen on RI just yet. It is a little redundant with the other mods I have in my pack. AS I feel understands my issues with power. I like complex looking power plants and to have reasons to generate those insane amounts of power.

Resonant induction has had or is having a major overhaul. Power is focused around gears fluid puppies game been added. Most of dark's mods have been worked in. If you look at calclavia's site you can see some of the changes they are making

A Tech Pack thats not focused on ic2.
I'm using TPPI, which seems to be not focused on IC2, seeing as it has Mek, TE3, and IC2+GT(configured into being docile). Also has AM2, TC4(you have to add it yourself, but it has configs and suggests it), TF, Morph, and many other mods. It's so far really fun, a striking change from what I'm used to from FTB packs. I mean that as in it's different from what I'm used to seeing in FTB, and I find it fun.
It's pretty much what I was already using in MultiMC to boot, but done differently(including ore distribution changes).

I thought Law was your mascot? Makes sense to me... Feed the Beast. Law = beast. You guys really unleashed him when he got global.

Speaking of monsters, will we get additional moderators after this forum migrates? Perhaps some nicer ones? :p

What FTB needs? A new launcher. A launcher where we can create our own modpacks (maybe with password) so if we are several playing on same server it will be easy to install and update mods.

Right now on our server we are using DW20 and have installed extra mods. So when the modpack updates we need to download the extra mods and right now we are missing some very importent updates of mods that ARE ready but not in the DW20 pack (why are he sitting on his hands?)

you could try tweeting Direwolf and ask for an update, I assume you are referring to Open blocks and Binnie's Mods. Maybe there is a good reason we don't know, although he may not be in a rush as he had no immediate plans to use those things in an episode coming up.

He's not. Updates for packs go out once a week at most. Otherwise server owners/admins and players scream "too many updates"

I have a very long update list for DW and Tech2 unfortunately I have been to the ER 3 times in the last week including 7 hours last night. Eyamaz is also under the weather as well as working a full time job. So both modpack devs are currently sick which means things will be slightly delayed. I am trying to get the updates done before I have to have surgery but I am not making any promises. If I don't then Slow or Eyamaz will but it will take them longer since they don't know those packs as well as I do. Again I am sorry.

Well, there's a reason this isn't Tekkit ;) They've been using that creeper in some form since they got started, though. I can still remember seeing it on the first Tekkit launcher I used.
