So I had this weird bug with my autocrafter.

Everything was working except when I tried to queue up a bunch of crafting benches, it would get stuck and not go beyond the "next" button where you choose how many to queue

I checked the pattern I had set up for it, absolutely no problem there. I also noticed that any other pattern that had a crafting bench in it (so molecular fabricators, sequential fabricators etc) were doing the same thing.

Then I noticed that my Crafting monitor didn't have a name on it.
So I took it out, took it to my anvil, named it COLIN, put it back in...everything now works as intended

Magic. Praises be unto Colin.

AE Alchemy, AKA "A cunning Mekanism for turning sand into pure fluix crystals"

Pure fluix crystal -(Mekanism Crusher)-> Fluix dust -(+ Sand)-> 2x Pure fluix seed -(Mekanism Enrichment Chamber)-> Pure fluix crystal

Neverending loop of fluix duping, just add sand :3

I've just learnt a vanilla mechanic, and I'm impressed (cause you know, once you've done modded, vanilla surely can't do anything amazing :p)

Hoppers actually interact with a minecart and chest, both pulling in and out.

I think one or more of the .dat files in my current game are going a bit wonky.

Statuses of things have stopped updating, purely at random. So for example:

- I took off my Draconic Armour and stuck it on an armour stand. However I am still able to fly, still immune to fall damage etc
- I took all of the crafting patterns out of Colin to basically sort them by mod, things were getting a bit messy. However, even though they are all now stashed in chests waiting for me to sort them out...the recipes all still appear in the crafting terminal. They work, too XD

Not sure what, if anything is causing this though...

Tinker's Construct. Like, the whole mod. It's existed in almost every single FTB pack I've ever played, and not once have I ever touched it before this morning. It's so cool!
That is a good call :) I feel like it’s gotten better and better - the way the traits work now, and how the stuff looks when it’s cooling, is really cool. Plus you can do some nifty integration stuff with custom alloys and casting recipes too.

Are you playing in post-1.7.10 land? If so, it's been radically overhauled.

The cross-mod integrations are still there, even moreso than before, but there's a few little things you can't do with it any more. Like, back in 1.7 I would usually progress from a set of tools with the "Fluxed" modifier that let me charge them with RF rather than using durability, onto [eventually] a tool with a Rotarycraft bedrock handle, making the tool effectively unbreakable, stacked with a bunch of extra modifiers to make it ridiculously fast.

Can't do that anymore so technically it's a nerf, but there's so much cool stuff in the mod [and various add-ons thereof] now I barely even notice. Dark matter parts that cause your tools/weapons to damage nearby mobs, red matter tool parts that add the "Democratic Republic..." modifier, making a "Dear Leader" (basically a creeper with a funny face) appear out of nowhere and gank mobs that attack you, that sort of thing. It's really fun to mess about with ;)

Look into the mod that adds fluxed electrum parts (can’t remember its name) - that adds a couple of traits you might be interested in...

EDIT: it’s called “Moar Tinkers”

Yeah I'm puttering around in Revelation right now, that's 1.12. :3 Unfortunately not really something I can add those add-ons to on my own. xD

It's not all that hard really, if you're using the twitch app to launch the modpacks all you have to do is got to profile options, unlock the pack, then click get more content. After that you just have to find the mods you want, click install on them, and you're good to go!

According to the TeamCOFH website, they've (thank goodness) changed the chance of getting a reusable morb back from an Estabulation Apparatus augment to 100%. That makes them much more viable as something I'd use now.

Oh yeah, just had a look at this.

Works pretty nicely. Weirdly, I could make fluxed electrum in a smeltery...but then couldn't pour it until I added Redstone Arsenal to my pack lol.

But yeah, it's given me a reason to actually make a flux capacitor beyond making a jetpack so...nice :)

:D I really do feel like 1.12 has blossomed into a pretty awesome place to be, modded wise.

So I wanted to make a patch of grass.
And I'm quite deep underground

Now, I haven't yet found an emerald (started another new world ;) ) to make a silk touch shovel. As far as I could see, there's two ways I could do this:

1 - Go midway through the progression in botania to get the seed thingies
2 - Do the vanilla thing, either enchant a silk touch shovel or just dig a dirt staircase from a patch of grass on the surface.

But no!

ProjectE has the answer. I already made a Philosopher's stone so I could make myself some ender pearls...

...but now I find that I can right click sand with it and turn said sand into grass. That's wicked convenient! :D
