It might just be me, but there's something magical about the sound made when breaking an iron block.

When the official wiki of a mod has practically no information, especially on the parts that NEI can't help you with. DX

When I'm running out of wood even though I'm living in the middle of a jungle/forest because I don't want to ruin the landscape by cutting trees down. OTL

Is it better when a big mod has little wiki, or when it doesn't have a wiki at all?

how there is not a single mod out there that allows you to forge your own blade and add sharpness by grinding it etc the closest thing is tinkers that lets you cast stuff but that's about it

It's bothers me greatly that Biomes have weird sky colorations. I grew up near swamps and I can assure you that there is no green coloration to the sky. The water is not green either, unless you count algea covering the water. It's black due to soil and full of reptiles, bugs, and amphibians.

As an LA resident, let me tell you the sky is definitely a different color here. :p

A lot that bug me have been mentioned in previous posts.. Solar panel builds, insane mob spawns, etc.. but...

*When Vanilla adds a new, rare, dangerous to get, item.. and Every mod decides it's part of the next tier of difficulty, and use said new item in their recipes >.< (Emeralds were added to at least 17 recipes of the mods I use in 1.5.2)
*Setting up the configs to specific biomes, (especially removing Jungle, Taiga, and Deserts,) and loading the new world... only to find Jungle, Taiga, and Swamps right at spawn. >.< (and then the Wife uses the exact same config settings, and gets a perfect world... Dang her luck anywho!)
Diving into a cave, deep diving, almost lost, then, finding diamonds, gold, even a good handful of emeralds, and then... a creeper blows you into a pool of lava, off a ledge.. to your death.

This. So freaking much. I hate it when recipes require emeralds. They're supposed to be a currency item. It's like crafting all your machines out of dollar bills or bitcoins or something. And they put you completely at the mercy of worldgen and the server your'e playing on. I've had waaaay too many problems with servers that have a limited map and no villages. Or, have villages that are completely dead thanks to chunkloaded mob attacks.

I've always strived to crank out at least a few safari nets (one time use) and go kidnap a few vilagers. So later on, when I have progressed further up in the tech tree. I swap out a reusable net for the villager and spawn them with the MFR Auto-Spawner instead. You can like wise use it as a backup and repopulate dead villages or start new villages.

And the Blood Altar always needs fresh blood....

Or those that use diamonds for the sake of it.

Or use nether stars too.

People who read MC code line for line, use mapping mods to maximize spawn areas of wither skellies, and are great at mob farms all spend HOURS farming wither skulls. Nether stars or wither skulls are items that if cheated in, I don't judge you one single, solitary bit. Period

My trick is to bring skeleton spawners to the nether with the dislocation focus/wand, make some kind of farm (big drop or using UU water if you have IC2) and use the sword of the zephyr with repair and looting 3.

4 spawners + afk for 5 minutes = 3 skulls.

then use warded blocks in some specific bedrock areas to kill him in a few secs, and with computercraft have it automatic.
