AM2 just doesn't seem to get along with dimensional mods. I tried going to The Erebus and ended up drowning in dryads.
Oh, it gets way worse then that. I tried killing a Pech in a crowd of mobs and so many Mana Creepers went off it crashed the game instantly and deleted the save.

It's kinda sad, really. Can't even use that dimension at all due to this plus the stupid pixies causing a 40 FPS drop. What's more sad that the bug has gone unfixed since release, but that's another story,

I just disabled AM2 in my RR instance because of its odd mob spawning. It completely ruins dimensions from other mods. TF has specific mob spawning rules and it just takes the fun away from the dimension when you get a pack of hecates attacking while you're about to tackle a hydra.

Plus there's no response to the mob spawning config request on github.

The balance between Ars Magica mobs

The Dark Mages are horrible, nearly impossible to hit with anything, I kill them in two hits, usually one with my sword and one with an Arcane Bolt, but I can just never hit the damn thing. Mana Elementals are laggy since they have crazy particles regardless of video settings, and for some reason take less damage than others. Water Elementals do nothing except push you, like it'll push me to death or something. Darklings are easy, and barely noticeable. Hecates have barely any health, make no sounds, and do an insane amount of damage, so they are just ridiculous. Easy to kill them, but still ridiculous. I see no point in Mana Creepers, I have had plenty go boom on me, and I haven't lost mana once. And Tower Guardians have 80 hearts, just because. Light Mages don't die, they just glitch while standing diagonally. Summoned Shadows are derpy and just run around, rather than killing stuff for me

I do admit, that as much as I love AM1 and 2, mods that screw up mob spawns that much is really annoying. I mean, at least Mo' Creatures has a config to fiddle with.

Ah the days where adding Mo' creatures with Thaumcraft 1 = Angry Zombies all night, every night.

Speaking of Mo' Creatures and AM2 have you tried adding that mob control mod that mo creatures is dependent on?

Not sure if this has been mentioned before in the thread, but it makes me want to smack people upside the head when I see a generic mod named after the author.

Example: If I were to release a mod called "SpitefulCraft" that was full of "New blocks, items, and ores!"

Also relevant: When a mod has zero documentation, or has extremely poor documentation. It basically feels like the author expects you to play their mod simply on the basis of "IT'S AWESOME!!!!111111"

Wait, what is your opinion on mods like Xeno's Reliquary and GregTech?

My main issue I have with mod author names is that they generally don't say squat about what the mod contains other than "This author really likes the sound of their own name."

Xeno's Reliquary actually does a fairly good job of implying what's in it with its name. A mod name that irks me more would be something like Dartcraft. The name not only doesn't say a thing about what the mod is about, but makes me imagine a boring newbie mod that adds various throwing darts.

Rule #1 of GregTech: Do not talk about GregTech. :p

Some youtubers not being able to think in a 3D manner when building new systems or when they make a build that is designed to not move much and every time they need to move it... they end up moving most of the system.

I'm not aware of it. Might it be able to affect mob spawning from other mods?

I too am annoyed by "craft" at the end of everything. I'd love a mod to be called Craftcraft like Saice suggested. It's sole purpose should be to ban crafting.

Wait, then how would you play "Minecraft"?! (so much entity lag from digging, and not crafting xDD)

When I first heard about "Dartcraft" I didn't know Bluedart made it, so I assumed it was a mod that added darts... I didn't actually know what it was until much later when playing on either Vodka or Peggle's server. I'm still a little fuzzy on what it actually does, besides higher enchantments :p
