Not sure how this is applicable to this thread. This is for mods you would like to see added to a FTB pack. Server specific mods should probably have there won thread.
Actually you can use it on the client-side as well. I use it with Smart Moving in a custom 1.5.1 setup, works great.

I'd also like to see Smart Moving added to FTB (with or without this mod, either way would be great, just posted about it in response to @Jonh_McFee's concern about the difficulty of server installation). From reading the author's thread on Minecraft Forums it seems he is fairly receptive to modpacks. Doesn't add any new content, but having these new "smart moves" available can be very handy at times. I especially enjoy the climbing/crawling feature, works pretty well for getting into tight spaces (laying wire/pipes, etc.).

Wasn't sure about server side but client side it's completely redundant. You can add jars quite easily with our plan old FTB launcher.

True, not sure why I added client-side support to be honest. The only difference is not having to rebuild your jar, but as the launcher does this automatically (IIRC), this is not any real benefit. Just for completeness, I guess.

To be clear, I'm not suggesting Jarmod2Coremod be added to FTB. Servers can install it on their own if desired. Rather, in response to:

The pain can be alleviated as described above, so that takes care of one of the reasons not to add Smart Moving to FTB.

However, another reason for not adding Smart Moving / Player API is possible mod incompatibilities - the API overwrites EntityPlayerMP. Seems there are incompatibilities with Modular Powersuits?

I apologize if this has been mentioned in the last couple of pages, I'm not active on the forum lately and I don't follow what's being suggested but, I suggest the Thaumic Tinkerer for the Magic World 2 pack.

It adds some really useful stuff, it's an addon to Thaumcraft and Vazkii has some cool plans for addition.

Someone has finally made it ! a mod that makes a day in Minecraft longer or shorter ! no longer 10 minutes til the sun goes down...by the time your ready to go out, its dark again...

I have been searching for this for years, so I am happy someone finally made it...unless someone else knows a mod like this that works on 1.4.7 servers?

EDIT: it now works on servers, and for 1.4.7 !

You should be paying more attention to jeb and dinnerbones tweets. Some upcoming plans that are being considered (considered not confirmed) include seasons. With alterations to day and night cycles depending on the season.

Beyond that we already have mystcraft age symbols that can make eternal day and night or simply adjust the speed of the cycle.

This mod doesn't really add a huge amount of content as it is simply an add on to Thaumcraft. However, I think that it has the potential to being a really cool expansion to the already fun Thuamcraft Mod. Right now there is a few new things to research that sort of fill in the (imo) much needed mid game for TC3. There is one feature that it adds that may put some people off. It adds a transmutation tablet which basically allows you to use collected aspects near it (magic in jars). The balance that it imposes is simply requiring four times the aspect cost. This video explains this in more detail

This is a mod that I added to my FTB server already. It was part of DireWolfs season 3 lets play. It basically adds a bunch of new functions for taming wolves. I always felt like wolf taming was a feature of minecraft that wasn't as exciting as it could be. Now your wolf will act more like a mini companion by allowing you to level it up and select different abilities etc. It also has a few different collars that you can put on your dogs to easily tell them apart. It doesn't really give you anything game breaking but it can be a fun tool in the early game when your exploring the world without high powers suits and weapons. What I like to do before I even start building things is to get myself one trained dog so that I have the extra help when fighting mobs. It really does add some diversity to the early game.

It's a nice little mod, Not Op at all and it works perfectly with the others, giving something that no other mods give (not even mystcraft) and not "replacing" anything. I tried first to talk about it in another thread just to check how the community would take it :) So, here it goes! Hope you consider this! Thanks for the awesome work!
Another request for this one. Had a play with this for a bit and it's very neat. It's not too intrusive, works as utility mod (i.e. a very neat variation of the Mystcraft void ages people tend cheat it for bases) and fun for the exploration aspect as well.

IM FUCKING INSTALLING THAUMIC TINKERER! What I miss the most from TC2? Sword of the zephyr flight ability :p Now i can have it again <3

Why would there be. It came out after 1.5 was released. You don't see people making mods for 1.3 or 1.1 anymore do you?

I definitely think Thaumic Tinkerer should be added to FTB. It adds a lot of neat objects and doesn't seem to break the balance of thaumcraft.

I'm not 100% sure, since it was from a guy who wasnt from the FTB team, but someone said they're already adding this mod. don't take my word though, as I said, it wasnt from a FTB team member.

False info. That mod is 3 days old. Way to early to say that. Best anyone could sat is that they are thinking about testing it.

After I made some requests, the mod has been updated and now works on servers, and for version 1.4.7, so now we can have longer days right now, and not wait 2 years before vanilla might ever get this feature... (people have been waiting for 3 years already...)
