Yeah MC Edit might not be the best idea. I'd use something like NBTExplorer and search for the TiC blocks with that.

Are you thinking of using those to frame your tower, or somehow carve your tower out of them?

The deviant option is a combination of both, but I really don't see how that could work

Still thinking.

But right now kind of leaning towards framing the tower building it up between the two.

I know I am coming late to the party but...

I just found a hingry node and...it didn't kill me. I just force wrench'd it! Problem solved!

I don't think it is a broken mechanic...I mean, sure it's OP, but it's not broken...
It breaks the mechanics for node transportation. You can have a base full of nodes before you even get the research for node in a jar. Heck once you get some Goggles of Revealing, you can bypass that whole part of TC4.

And that's why the force wrench should have a config setting where you can blacklist/whitelist blocks to prevent picking them up. Would also solve some of the crash bugs due to the force wrench.

Borken as in it breaks the mechanic in place for TC where moving a node is supposed to be costly have have risks. Node movement is supposed to be a costly indevor. But the Dartcraft wrench makes it insanely simple with zero risk and almost no cost. So yeah its kind of broken.[DOUBLEPOST=1383693085][/DOUBLEPOST]

You dont even need goggles you can see nodes at night fairly easy without them you just cant tell what type they are.
