Do not wish for such things. Do do and it will never come to pass. Instead, get inspiration from every day things around you, practice them in minecraft and experement with them. Even an ordinary block room can look better with a slight futuristic twist on every day items. Let your imagination go wild. You will be surprised on what can be done.

Since last update I have mostly been working on moving all my storage, ore processing and some crafting out of my starter "cave". This have taken a lot longer than I suspected :p

The item storage have been put into the ME network at the tower:
1k1j28D.png

I have had to tweak it a little. All the Framed storage drawers combined with AE constantly updating it caused a lot of fps and micro stutter problems. So I have replaced them with Ghostwood drawers and tried to dress them up a bit. Not really what I wanted, but the framed drawers really ruined performance(not sure it is that much better this way, don't know what have changed since I did this same setup in the last world).

In addition to storage I also set up the usual Player Interface rig here:
5YKwBuh.png

Remote orderer for instant delivery of items from the ME network and into my player inventory. And also set up automatic removal of cobble, dirt, gravel etc. from my inventory once I flick the Remote linked to the Wireless receiver. I plan to also set up automation for a few other things later. Like recharging Lappacks and supplying food etc.

All the crafting machines I have relocated to the bunker:
eBz958d.png

KIRO1ti.png

This is all temporary since I really needed the machines now, but not had time/prioritized building something nice for them all. So for now they have just been plopped down and ME automated here.

Same goes for Assembly table setup:
DVtjJGb.png

This just needs to be dressed up nicely however.

In the "cargo bay" I set up the Enderchest etc. inputs:
T4vGjDR.png

Plan to build it so it actually looks like items are being unloaded from containers. Hence the NPC :p

Adjacent to the cargo bay I plan the "processing plant":
oBeLwJ9.png

Again just a couple temporary machines to handle ores.

I kinda caved in and build a BR turbine for my reactor:
OEhuDOq.png

It was just so easy power at this stage. Didnt really have infrastructure to do much else.
Since the Turbines look so spectacularly unlike turbines, I decided to use them for a "Environmental control" thing(fresh air for the bunker). The whisk and rushing air kinda kinda made them more suitable for that :p So one more turbine, a lot of ducts etc. to come.

The second big thing that have been taking up a lot of time recently, is building on the tower:
MH3OknX.png

I have put a lot of time into building the ring around the tower, the glass dome at the foot of the tower and recently made an effort on the tower itself too.

4ToppaW.png

Whga91F.png

The ring is planned to be mostly just for observation/show. But the small two floor domes might house something related to the farms/bees/whatever that is planned situated nearby.

The main walkways:
ANJGxm7.png

These have been planned out so they have room for a double track train network. I will probably use this to make a transport network between tower and bunker etc. and maybe even connect it to other nearby players.

The dome at the foot of the tower have been a lot of work:
hC6cP4P.png

Snapped this shot during the last bit of the work on it.

But I think the result is worth it:
M56O3CX.png

What exactly is going to be under the dome I still don't know for sure. But have some ideas in the making ;)

Oh and lastly I have also spend a bit of time just playing around with Armourer's Workshop:
6vcgUHp.png

Made myself an armour set that is supposed to reflect the focus on building(just notice that the lighting is bugged out a little on this shot due to the overlays of the Armourer's workshop blocks). So gave the suit various "techy" tools on the hands as well as tools on the "belt".
I also had this idea for a suit for CustomNPCs working in the cargo bay. So pulled some inspiration from a good old Scifi movie :p

I am starting to really like Armourer's Workshop, so you will probably see more of this in the future.

Also thought I would show off some of Middleclaw's recent builds:

He have been working hard on his base recently:
rZIlxX0.png

Filling out the ring with more rooms.
He have also been advancing in TC(temporary setup in the middle) and bees(also temporary setup up in the sky).

Here is one of the new diagonal rooms:
kiOL9Fr.png

Occasionally makes you forget it is even diagonal :p

Like you might have noticed, he also added this new entrance(I believe he plans two of them):
XtjjsHP.png

Very interesting shape.

Inside is a security checkpoint:
gpFZLGb.png

My5w8jd.png

Two force fields to contain any intruder :p
Off to the sides are several holding cells and access to the security booths.

Look forward to see more from him.

Middleclaw's entrance is very interesting, kinda stargate-atlantis or something. I picture a long-lost advanced civilization having built that, and then modern day Minecraftians finding it and attaching their own scientific facilities to it.

I was thinking some crashed spaceship when I first saw it.

But yes, somewhat envious of him being able to just build shapes like that :p

I hereby award you the Internetz. I quit.

Damn dude...you are amazing! I can't even imagine building something like that and you seem to do it very easily.

The framed drawers need to render about 8x as many quads and require an opaque and transparent render pass. So they're relatively expensive, but the fundamentals aren't different. The 16x16x16 "render chunk" they're in is probably updating constantly. The last 1.7.10 update to the mod, if you don't have it, was supposed to reduce the amount that the drawers themselves triggered a chunk render update. Might help if you're auto-inserting frequently.

The inside of the bunker is very much WiP, but this commons/hub room is one of the most developed:
PzqrW0P.png

I experimented a bit with the Sky Blocks to give a fake sky feel. Not sure if it is too realistic. Maybe I can fix that somehow(put a layer of glass covers under it or something)
Is this yours? Looks amazing daring to say not your usual style.

Congratulation to your new lovely minions. Protect them closely as i intend to steal them if i get a chance... muhehehe (may or may not be a joke :p)

Time to add some proper transport:

I added a pair of "heli pads" to the tower:
fmY6dQ1.png

a81MyV4.png

They are a bit out of place when looking at the tower as a whole, but I didn't have any other good place for them.
One of the pads also "currently" host a little VTOL shuttle that I put together.

The real reason for the pads and the shuttle, are of course to be the scene for player transport:
71sVdqW.png

Using the CustomNPC Transport role(same as I did last world for the teleportation mages). Plan is that it is going to hook up to multiple other locations accessible by flight(which will have similar pads).

Another of these flight transport locations is the main hub in the mountain bunker:
71jJjKr.png

vOfXp35.png

The flight hub has shielded openings on both sides of the mountain. Shields are done with RFtools, so players can pass through, but mobs cannot.

And since it is a flight hub, there will of course also be more aircraft:
SNpv6yw.png

KxZwDHt.png

(just noticed that I have not added additional details to these aircraft yet. BC builder will not work with microblocks)
I have added two aircraft on each their pad. One for public transport(between players) and one just for my own base locations(connected to the tower).

Up the ramp is a little waiting area:
6r3hwG6.png

The Tin doors(Malisis doors automated by player detectors) is the elevator(OpenBlocks) that leads down and further into the bunker. There is also a little "air traffic control" booth off shot.

Taking the elevator down:
2TyQnnb.png

Visitors will of course need to go through security checks before going further.
ywfjnTE.png

Security guard's booth which provides a good view of the security checkpoint between the fields. Also made a little detention cell for holding suspicious people temporary.

Once passed the security checkpoint we arrive at the Visitor's Lounge:
QtwXR15.png

The doorway in the background middle of the shot will eventually lead down to the tower. The doorway in the background to the left(near the Oak covers) leads via elevators down into the heart of the bunker(working a bit on that atm).

B7mSjH8.png

Added a little water feature and some greenery as decoration. The flowing water wall is done with Fluid Displays and is actually animated.

The lower floor with an observation deck:
BAlCkCP.png

And to show proper hospitality, a little cafeteria for the hungry traveller:
s6dyUBZ.png

With a small kitchen:
hHVeSYb.png

Not really using it any longer, but decided to add my Cooking for Blockheads setup here. So a player can actually go back here and make them self some real food :p

RHN, What kind of signs are you using? Like the one outside your security checkpoint, and the "Welcome" one. They don't look like information panels.
