I think you have to spam click it.
now lets wait for the numerous tutorial videos claiming "free Mjs" via clockwork engines being spammed by engineering turtles
I think I have that taken care of. (I'll hunt down and kill any loophole that allows for automation of that engine.
Meh, even without "automation killing", It's not a serious power source I think. I don't believe that there are somepony who runs his factory on redstone engines... Almost the same thingTo be honest, it has been explicitly stated that this is NOT intended for automation, and that any possible for of automation will be hunted and killed. Sengir is usually quite good at that (see apiaries and frames, and the new additions to frame housings for alvearies).
It's intended as a quick and easy way of getting a small amount of power. I'd suspect that the intended purpose is for beekeeping, as it's usually a pain to get some manner of MJ setup going to centrifuge the combs for basic resources.
There were people who used to run quarries on redstone engines (before they were fixed). I can understand the concern that, if it is perpetual, it's a relatively easy to set up nearly perpetual energy source, just requiring space.Meh, even without "automation killing", It's not a serious power source I think. Hehe, I just knew that engineering turtle would work - didn't test other ones.
BTW, KingLemming, while you are here can you explain a bit about your ducts/conduits? They are awesome, but the only issue with them is that "output/input" settings are set for a block, and not for a connection. Any plans to change that?
OK, thank you for the explanation! Did I say that I like your mod? In the case I didn't, I like your mod very much!^_~With conduits, it outright wasn't possible until the recent BC API change. Liquiducts were kept the same way for consistency. It's something I'd like to address, but it involves a completely absurd revamp, and requires us to come up with a raytracing algorithm and a sub-selection box handler.
It'll happen, I'm just not sure when.
I mean, I wouldn't even care if its power was really low. Or even if it could only be used for Redstone Engine level stuff like pipes. I just want to be able to do that stuff before going down and getting iron/redstone and all that jazz. I understand it's balanced around the fact that you have to wind it, but why not let people "cheat" if they want? I mean, server owners could turn it off assuming a config for that isn't hard (I have no knowledge of java, you don't have to call me an idiot)Im trying to make a fully automated turtle base, so I agree with you.

LOL, there's no way I'd blame TE for any ills. Your mod kept me playing modded minecraft.Engineering turtles aren't specifically required. Any turtle should be able to do this. Seems unfair to blame the TE turtle.
Grinstone is possible to automate (with an engineering turtle)... Probably this engine too?
I'd like to see some retarded factory powered only by clockwork engines constantly being whacked by turtles with crescent hammers
