Honestly, I disagree. If the pack is learning GregTech, that's cool, but what's really there to make you choose this pack over others with GTech in, ones with more mods. There much less replay-ability. The only thing this pack has going for it is the HQM Quests.
The thing is, to build on what @Pyure said, its this packs isn't for long term play. It's for getting a handle on the mythical beast we call GT. That's the selling point. It's a GT pack for those who are on the fence about GT. It's a GT pack for those of us who don't know the ins and outs of GT. It's a GT pack for just fucking LEARNING GT. Hence the name of the pack.
Add competing tech mods if you wish. But this pack isn't for those of us who know how to progress in GT. It's a guide for the rest of us.

So yeah, this pack is really only big enough for one "tech mod". And that mod is GregTech.
Hey guys just a quick question. How would you feel about having reward bags in the pack yes/no.
Meh, for this kind of pack, it feels hollow. True, one could add cool rewards into it, but why bother? The pack could get away with having zero items as rewards unless it's a quest delivery device thingy.

Hope you get this pack assembled. GT needs moar love.

Also, you will need to completely rewrite this for 1.7.2 once GT5 is out of beta, much stuff have changed so far.
While the server player list might be "big", the highest peak we had was 19 players and on "crowded" times we have about 10-12. It is normally playable and the community is still mature enough, no problems have happened so far. We even have a dynmap to show people's bases and all... Town and railways are slowly coming in too.

By the way, did you even join on kirara 2.0 (for MC 1.7.2 and GT 5 which changed a LOT of things)? I don't recall your name.
Agreed. Also, hey Spwn, didn't know you hung out over here ;)

Also his name is CarbonBasedGhost

Update: I think I will turn off the machine blowing up because of voltages and rain because I feel it will create to many problems for beginners, but I will still talk about voltages in the HQM Quests.
Hey, we're learning GregTech right? It is your job to explain for them in big red bold letters that rain and overvoltage is bad. Turning them off will make them yell at you once they play with GT somewhere else.

Also it gives you a reason to build a good looking house, or at least a roof... which would be a prerequisite quest for electric machines.

"The power of transformers" would be also a quest to tell people how to not blow up their machines.

Stated beautifully. Giant letters, 100x100 blocks in dimension and out of red stained clay

The problem is that I do not want to immediately turn off players from playing Gregtech after losing their first Blast Furnace.

Well, I blew up a few machines while starting GT on our server. Luckily I had steel armour on from a dungeon raid. Prevented my dying. But I was down to half heart, crater hole, things spewed everywhere..... Without that armour it would have also been "bye-bye baby"!

Lot of such war stories from fellow GT players makes me think that this is some kind of obligatory, necessary evil, rite of passage when it comes to GT. It's like learning to ride a bicycle. You need to badly bruise your knees and elbows at least a few times before you get it right. ;)

Cannnot avoid it, so might as well make people come to terms with it. It is not like we're never ever going to die in the game, ever?

EDIT: I am actually fine with the explosions turned off as well, tbh. But, on a server, they are bound to be turned on, so some kind of warning of sorts is needed for players who are exposed to GT via this HQM route.
