It acts as a prospecter. If you right click it will tell you what ores are in a certain radius.
Forgive my ignorance, but what mod is that from? Googling suggests TerraFirmaCraft had one once but doesn't anymore (or something)
Same hammer for making plates. It works like a prospectors hammer on a decent sized area and produces results with a small false positive or false negative chance

EE3 is still far too overpowered to fit in this pack
Good HQM guide so far, but I was expecting a map and rewards.

I'm mostly kidding. I *do* think it would indeed benefit the pedagogical purpose of this pack to include rewards that are in-line with GT progression. For instance, when you gather X number of copper and tin and turn it in, the reward is a decent pile of more copper and tin. Ditto copper, steel, etc.,.
One would then *lower* the quest requirements so you wouldn't have to grind quite as much. Without other, supporting this mods, this pack is a very grindy pack, even by GT standards.
I gathered 64 wood! Detected it! A nice reward would be a Wooden Axe!
Then it asked for 32 Fences, that sure was grindy! A reward for that would have been a stone axe.

.it would be good to at least include some other storage mod! Maybe Jabba or Better Storage!
