I support the "It's done when it's done" phrase, however it is a little worrisome when Slowpoke and others seem to not even care at all. I'm not sure how much Slowpoke is actually involved in this pack, but take a look at recent tweets. There is the one about DW20 a few days ago, then he seems to just forget about it and play games and watch streams. But hey, if 1.1.3 really was on the launcher for a few minutes like people said then at least it seems to be nearly done.

How do you know they're not done with testing?
Because you'd know if they were.

Also, the post jaded recently made said:
New Update: We have decided to go with the full fix. There is a delay currently. We have the configs set up and the new mod updates tested to load without crashing. While we finish testing we are working on finding a way to make it less likely for worlds to need resets on the DW20 pack. We are hoping to have a solution to prevent unnecessary restarts.

They probably don't have one.

It's done when it's all working, it's a little hard to tell when that is.

Even if they don't know exactly when it'll be ready, it would be helpful if they could simply say 'this is what we've done so far ... , this is what we are currently working on ... and ... is what we still have to finish' and a rough guide as to if it'll be hours/days/week. If they get it done before the ETA then it'll be a pleasant surprise, if the ETA gets pushed back then we should all know by now that it happens at times, but at least they would be keeping us informed and it may reduce the number of people constantly asking 'when is it ready?'.

that is what i was actually trying to say, we need updates to keep us away and calm they could take 30 seconds and write whats done and what is not done, i know they have a lot on there plate already but if they want to keep us at bay they need to inform us more

I don't blame them for not releasing an ETA.

Could you imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth if they announced an ETA and then missed the announced time?

I don't have to. I experienced it several times in the early years of the MMO I play until they wised up and stopped predicting releases, or at least publicly announcing them.

it is not our fault they messed up in the first place or this problem would of not happened if they tested more instead of releasing it

Which is why they are testing it more this time around. Mistakes happen.

I would still like a statement on what else needs doing, though. As would the players on my server and everyone else who plays this pack.

According to the original post on this subject this was apparently partially caused by a mistake that occurred after an all-nighter trying to do exactly what you seem to want a repeat performance of... Getting things ready for an announced release date.

People who have just finished putting in an extra 12-15 hours to finish up can be forgiven for a lack-of-sleep induced mistake, and these guys (& gals?) do it without pay, or apparently much appreciation.

Just a heads up on where things are at right now. They don't necessarily have to give us an ETA - I'd already be happy with a post that gives us details on how things are going. It's difficult to estimate the release, I'm sure, but like Joey said - it's more about the community of servers wanting to know what's happening and server owners being able to satisfy their players with some info. It would in fact prevent a lot of the nonsense that is being posted.

without pay hah i gurantee they get paid by someone, no one would do all that work and lose sleep over no gain and hassle from the players..

You'd be surprised about the amount of nice people in this world...

either they are getting paid or forced too. why would they waste their skills fixing some for nothing when they could do something else for a gain?

If you don't know that already, I won't be able to explain it to you.

There's such a thing as volunteering you know? Tons of people work hard for nothing.

It's not always about money. If people have the skills to develop content for a game they love and has a wide fan base that enjoys their work then that is reason enough for some people. As an example look at the thousands of YouTubers out there who are happy with a small handful of subscribers, making no money at all, but still put many hours into it because it's something they enjoy doing, even if they do get harassed in feedback at times.
