I believe that's what happens when BC pipes get overloaded with items. They destroy the excess. Guude's cobble gen into scrap system ended up doing that on the Mindcrack server when it got backed up.I can't speak for chests, but when I had an REC hooked up to a wooden pipe pulling out of a barrel it makes a lot of explosion noises (same as TNT going off) and visual effects when you forget to turn the REC power down to 1-2 MJ/t instead of 50 MJ/t when you power it. Also at 50 MJ/t it will empty a full barrel in about 5 seconds.Strangely though, despite the explosion noises and effects it doesn't actually do any damage anywhere. If you are wearing good armour you can get near enough to disable the power without getting killed.

Yep. I had to stop watching the mindcrackers because all they talk about is the lag, and I hate talk about lag and being limited by it.
Oh. I'll bow to your superior knowledge on this one then. My REC was pumping planks out of a 1024 stack barrel for my IC generators so if the explosions were destroying the wood then I probably wouldn't have noticed the loss from that amount anyway. I do know one thing though: it frightened the actual s**t out of me when it all started exploding!

It's my favorite anti-lag mechanic incorporated by a mod. It's an incredibly effective way to let people know "hey, this thing right here? Yeah... don't do that."
Makes me wonder if my fail was that bad. I wanted to try Thaumcraft but I had built a really high treehouse. So I learned some recipes, then found out I needed the weird cauldron thing. Oh, it needs lava to burn? Sweet, I cobblestoned over lava beneath my house incase I need some. Go back and have this smart idea, well if I make a 3x3 hole with dirt(As shown below) then the lava will stay there. Ofcourse, the floor is wood. And lava doesnt decide to burn right away. So I run to the other half of my tree house, fiddle with my small machines. Return 5 minutes later and see half my base crumbling and Im here trying to grab dirt and put it up and punch away the fires. Then I just cut off that part of the tree house, saved most of my thaumcraft stuff and relocated. I never want a treehouse again. =(

I also never used thaumcraft again. =( I have it waiting but Im trying to set up my 3rd mountain base. Debating making my thaumcraft room out of the xy protection blocks. <<;

We were playing on a server and got to the point in resources were anything would take us minutes to make with an endless supply of UU matter. We decided to play with MFFS and set out to make an epic underwater base. I got everything set up underwater and got it working with a small sphere. I go back to our over water base to get some more emiters and upgrades leaving my friend behind. As I was getting the things, he said: "Hey, what will happen if I set this to 64 square?" Not listening I said: "No idea."
Ten seconds later I start to experiance extrem lag and get kicked from the server.
"Uhhhh, Luke?"
"Ya?"
"I scienced"
"What?"
Two min later, the server lets us back on.
"I turned out underwater base into an above ground one."
"..."
"Ya"
"What did you do?"
"That thing you said to try."
I fly over and find the sea floor exposed for a 64x64 area, a massive block of water just gone.
"How the hell?"
"I DID SCIENCE!"
"You freaking idiot!"
The admin of the server then tp'd to us, and without a word tp'd everone on the server to the hole.
Admin: "What did you guys do?"
Friend: "Science..."
Me: "Stoped watching him"

And explosions. Explosions are good. Drunk explosions are better, but make sure to leave the liqueur near an open flame.Dude. Science is so fool-proof you can do it drunk! Especially with chemistry. Try it bro, it works really well.

I started with five chickens in a 2*3 hole. i put an transposer at the bottom to collect all the eggs to a dispenser, and a redstone timer fire the eggs back to the hole.
I put a chunkloader (it was a server), after a day, there were over 1000 chickens in the pit. The server had extreme block lag, and i got 1 FPS when i was near the chicken area
