Yay. Good to hear. I really hope Elo will continue to develop the mod. I also really hope she'll allow people to help here because it's a BIG mod and I can understand that she doesn't always feel like updating it.

I think it's more a case of being too busy to work on it rather than not wanting to.

She said that she didn't feel like playing MC and I can imagine that if you lose interest in a game you also lose interest in modding that game. That certainly happens to me. Certainly can't blame her, it's a lot of work.

Was talking about "I won't risk ETA predictions but the work project that dragged me away ended yesterday and I'm feeling like playing Minecraft again.", sounded like she also didn't feel like playing MC. Which I can totally relate to.

I know when I'm super busy with work sometimes the last thing I want to do is sit in front of a computer and put any effort into it. At any rate we got our answer and she even tweeted that the first compile was encouraging but there is still work to be done. Like most mods she will have to convert her sprites to the new system. Right now three mods are on my development watch list. Redpower, Thaumcraft 3, and Soul Shards. All three are important to the personal mod pack that I use and I can't move forward without them. I'm not missing that much so not as worried, but I also don't want to wait til after 1.6 either. For the moment I am patient and watchful for news.

We have more or less the same situation for our server. We'll just see which way it goes.

Well a little bit here, it's more tame compared to other parts of the modding community.

I think you're overreacting a bit. What I've seen sofar is people being concerned with the future of the mod. So am I. Because I'm a big fan of the mod and would rather not have to do without.

And some do have worldgen like Extra Bees, Thuamcraft, and Xycraft.... so?

speaking about worldgen... I think mods should reduce worlgen... like xycraft, white xycorium would be enough (and you color it), shards only vis and dull would be enough, maybe only 1-2 gregtech ores that depending on the machine it changes output... for example AE uses only 1 ore for its purposes.
