hmmm i stand corrected, things seem to have moved on a lot since i last looked.
a lot of hoops still but definatly do-able, guess i need to sit down and work out exactly what mods i want on my server and what permissions i need (that spreadsheet will be damn handy!)

I think you might take this a bit too serious. It's a game, not a billion dollars. The FTB team is doing this for free. They have jobs and school. It's christmas, and your not the only one that enjoy using time with your family. The team members are humans, not robots. Remember that.

Hello. I'm having some problems actually finding how to install the dw20 1.7 pack. It's not in my FTB launcher "FTB MODPACKS" list and it's neither in my "3RD PARTY PACKS" list. i browsed around to try and find out if i needed a pack code for it, but nothing. also trying to Google the problem gives nothing.
Launcher Version is 1.4.4. Did a new clean download and install of both Java(8, 64x) and the launcher.
Feeling a bit silly, did i miss something? How the hell do i get this pack? :I

+4G by a pendrive on readyboost
Java 8 upgrade 11 (this one is crucial, nothing seems to improve gameplay whitout it)

I used some config (cohf I imagine) to set off all particles and animations, messed up some configs on AE2 capping some check rates to half with no apparent counter effects beyond some delay on import buses to recognize the existence of itens inside certain inventories
I have messed any config I've found witch claimed to improve FPS
All I managed up to now is to play at minimal configs (exept that I'm loading 3 chunks!)
at a steady 30FPS capped rate for like 4 or 5 hours before stuff gets too much for my pc and it crashes randomly into my face...
I would like to hear from your ways to improve performance at low end machines
yeah, just some ideas, maybe I'm tring to derail from the unpleasant question of the update beggars bitching that stuff is broken, staff should update soon buuaaaa...

using DW20 pack v1.0.2
has anyone had a problem with thaumcraft at all? mainly the Repair II enchant. i put it on a bow of bone and then made the thaumaturges robes and put it on all 3 of those and on my goggles of revealing. when it was on the bow (which also had Infinity I on it) it was working amazingly. then i put on the robes and goggles and it was still working with the goggles. i then shot some arrows straight up just messing around and some hit me which is expected. after that i realized that Repair II isnt working on any of those items now. i tried wiping the enchants off and adding them again and still a no go. also, any new items i add Repair II to, its useless on those as well. i did put the enchants on using Botanias enchanting process but like i said, it was working wonderfully at first. i tried flying to different areas, went to an enchanted forest, the nether, thinking that maybe there is aura in the air again but nothing is happening with it. i dont see how hitting myself with a few arrows from this bow could completely ruin that enchant for me but idk what else to think. oh and i even tried killing myself to see if that could somehow fix it and nope. Infinity I worked the entire time on the bow btw.

on a side note i was messing around with the bow and shot it straight down into a Botania spark and the arrows just glitch out like crazy in the spark. only way to get rid of them seems to be by breaking the thing the spark is on (mana pool/enchanting pedistal) and replacing it. once you do that the spark drops and the arrows fall to the ground.

Dwolf20 should be first on the FTBpack list. If its' not first back up all of your instances and then delete and re-download the launcher.
EDIT: Solved it. I had to go into\AppData\Local\ftblauncher\ModPacks\
and set all the folders inside to unhidden to get it all to load...
I did run with the Console running and it said something about access being denied.

EDIT: Solved it. I had to go into\AppData\Local\ftblauncher\ModPacks\
and set all the folders inside to unhidden to get it all to load...
Have you installed the launcher in the user account, some people (like myself) installed the launcher in a folder next to .minecraft in the user/AppData/roaming (I think) directory when starting out on FTB. It works much better in a folder on C: eg C:/FTB

A problem we found on our server is too many squids. The squids spawn squid plants which spawn more squids which spawn more plants etc etc. Just thought I would say so other server owner/admin can look into it and hopefully this improves the problems somewhat.
that shouldnt happen, the squids dont create the plants more so the other way around.
hasnt happened on our server, we have had the crashes from ae2 singularitys, performance issues, 2gb of log files in 3 days, etc etc etc. (were going the route of the 3rd party pack creation....just taking time to get it all perfect)
Do we have a change log for 1.0.3 yet?

The server that i play on , recently updated to version 1.0.3 from the Dw20 pack .
Now when i opne my ftb launcher and try to select the 1.03 version , i scroll down the pop up bar , but the latest version showing there is the 1.0.2 .
i reinstalled my ftb 3 times and also did a hack of allot of force updates but it still doesn't show it yet .
Is there a simple solution for this , because other people from the server are online , so the 1.0.3 version is 100% up to date and available to dowload .

Setting download location to CurseCDN under advanced options and restarting should/might work. The problem is probably that where ever you are trying to download from isn't updated yet.
If that works you you might also want to post the problem you had in the support section. The forums main link is still broken but this link should get you there.

The change from the dowload location didn't fixed it , but what i noticed was when i tryed to delete everything(also from the roaming file

The One thing You need To check ik You ' deletevyour ftb and then reinstall It check if Your player data is auto loaded . If SO check Your pc for every file You can find , because Your ftb is Just lockd and cant update.
This thread is full of a lot of negativity, for good reason sometimes. Well Im going to put some positivity into it. Thanks for putting the new update out. My server is running a lot better. Still got issues, but its a lot better. So thanks

On Monday Equitime was talking about an over population of squid, I think the problem if there is one is with the pneumaticraft seeds, in 1.6.4 they were hard to get, but this time the area outside my base has become nothing but pneumaticraft plants. It seems if you clear the other plants away pneumaticraft plants take over.
