Ok, this is gonna sound nubbish and foolish. I tried using DW20 for 1.7.10 and it crashed repeatedly on initial worldload using java 7 update 71 and java 8 update 25 and java 7 update 71 again for good measure. i uninstalled and reinstalled ftb to make sure it was current version as that was listed as a problem. i checked ram and made sure it was set to 3Gb. i removed java argument -XX:MaxPermSize=128M to see if that would help and it did not. I manually added forge for minecraft 1.7.10 in the mods folder and removed it when that didn't work. My next post will include my log file, hopefully in a spoiler tag.

Ok. I have been on the IC2 forums and read their Nuclear Engineering thread. I still have many unanswered questions:

1. While browsing this list of good reactor designs: http://forum.industrial-craft.net/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=7681
Some designs have venting components placed adjacent to fuel rods. And this seems to be important. But others have the vents on one side of the reactor with hardly any touching the fuel rods. wtf gives!?

2. Is there any structure to the 5x5x5 reactor? Or is the empty space simply consumed by the "generic" block (pressure vessel or some such) to fill out the space?

3. Does a good direct EU reactor make a good 5x reactor?

4. Breeder reactors do not seem to be a thing in the IC2 in DW20. Instead plutonium is harvested from depleted MOX fuel rods?

The 1.0.2 version of the pack has an issue when creating a new world. One of the easiest ways around it is to load up the 1.0.1 version of the pack, make your world, and then update to 1.0.2. It's a bit of a faff, but the error is hard to nail down. I searched for a while and haven't seen anyone come up with a clear answer as to what's specifically causing it. All I can tell is it's worldgen related, possibly BiomesOPlenty related as that usually appears in the error message, probably a conflict between BOP and another mod.

Also, that log looks like the FTB launcher log, to properly debug the error (if it isn't the error I'm thinking of), we'd need the forge log.
it should be in FTB folder\direwolf20_17\minecraft\logs\
fml-client-latest.log should do

Dude, that was exactly it. Tried without BoP and it worked. Then made a 1.0.1 version world and it is running perfectly. Thank you so much and it is weird that never came up on the googles. This would be awesome to add to the first page of this forum because honestly, i stopped after reading page 3 when i looked and realized there were 26 pages >.>

Hi everybody.

I wonder if someone would be kind enough to tell me how to get Lapito's Galacticraft working. It was working last night when I went to bed. Today it has vanished from the FTB launcher. It is gone from thirdparty.xml. I keep seeing references to it being "moved" and a "pack code" but as a mature noob I have no idea what that might mean.

I have made quite a commitment to the pack so any assistance in restoring it - or a link to a page where the process is explained by a gunnery sergeant - would be most appreciated.

Thanks in anticipation :)

Okay, something is a little weird with the autonomous activator, sometimes it seems to work with a sword, and sometimes it doesn't. I haven't figured it out yet. Bedtime tonight, might look into it some more tomorrow after work.

Now that you mention it, I recall someone else having problems with swords in the autonomous activators. Sadly, I don't think anyone came up with a solution. When all else fails, hope for a bug fix in the next pack update.

Does anyone know what causes this
[17:44:31] [Server thread/WARN] [IC2]: EnergyNet.addTileEntity: adaptors.RfBlockDelegate@34d65ad9 (adaptors.RfBlockDelegate@34d65ad9) was added too early, postponing
[17:44:31] [Server thread/WARN] [IC2]: EnergyNet.addTileEntity: adaptors.RfBlockDelegate@34d65ad9 (adaptors.RfBlockDelegate@34d65ad9) unloaded, aborting
can't really see what block is ment ^^ and as far as i am aware nobody is using IC2 on the server
and the problem is sometimes the server just stops working after he has done that a few times

Just out of curiosity, has anyone figured out a way to pump a sword out of an Ender IO Killer Joe? I tried pretty much every side, and it didn't seem to be possible. I wanted to use it, but if I can't get the sword out to recharge/repair it, I guess I'll have to go with something else.

Got any blocks that convert between IC2 power and RF?
[IC2]: EnergyNet.addTileEntity: adaptors.RfBlockDelegate
sounds like an IC2 energynet<->RF interaction

Nope nobody uses any IC2 machines on the server that's the strange thing and that's what ithought too
also it already makes problems as soon as the server starts (while starting i can see that happening while he is loading all the stuff) and i am pretty sure the problem startet recently ^^ but not 100%.
Oh well maybe the problem fixes itself as soon as 1.0.3 get's released.

Can you not get wither skeleton heads from an auto-spawner (killing them manually with a cleaver(20% beheading))? i have killed over 20 now and havent got a single one <,< or am i just very unlucky and should make another cleaver with the beheading modifer upgrade <,<

As long as you kill them yourself, they should absolutely drop heads, they're just very rare, even with a cleaver. The beheading modifier will help, and I believe Fortune (lapis) will as well.

Wither skeleton head drops are rare. Broke down and made a cleaver with beheading four, or at least my brother made it for me. Mynellium head. The rest paper. He popped on rf recharging, beheading, looting 3, and extra damage. Took up every modifier slot except for the wither star one. Got a head with almost every wither skeleton kill while using that.

Made a cage for the wither. Think didn't make it thick enough the first time. Was 3*5*5 originally. Then popped on a second layer after the first wither got loose. Was using reinforced obsidian, and placed if far up in the air away from base. Which wasn't really needed as mob griefing was off.

Still trying to figure out how to get enough mana to make loads of terrasteal. Took eight hours to make two ingots.

you could always kill the wither atop the nether (that's how i do it) or do some TC and get a wardening focus ^^
other question does the well of suffering make mobs drop their loot? if yes i need to add a vaccum hopper to mine ^^ (cursed eath + well = BLOOOD!)

I got myself a cleaver with 100% beheading that helped a lot in gathering the skulls... (paper rods paper plate manullyan blade +2 extra modifiers = cleaver with 100% beheading <3) and yes i put 8 times the behead upgrade on it ^^

Yes it does.. I haven't seen any "Special" loot (wither skeletons), but I'm getting stacks of rotten flesh, ender pearls, and string from it... Along with lots of potion (Regeneration yay! withering boo)

Does Steve's Factor Manager let you access specific slots on an inventory? Maybe that will work?

Huh...that's a good thought, that didn't even occur to me (despite my love of SFM for other tasks.) I'll have to give that a try.

Still trying to figure out how to get enough mana to make loads of terrasteal. Took eight hours to make two ingots.

I use a resonant tank filled with nether pumped lava, a BC floodgate and some thermalillies.
The lava lasts ages, and the flowers generate a heap of mana.
I guess pumping the nether is a bad idea in multiplayer worlds, but you could create a mystcraft age or use one of the many ways to generate lava in the pack. Won't have to be fast

Edit:
Also, I've got Endoflame's being fed from a charcoal farm. I pipe charcoal into droppers, which are triggered by a timer. (45 seconds seems to work best)
