Since there is no 1.7 TE, which would be best as the base mod to go off of then for ore gen concerning mods with the same ore? Namely stuff like copper and tin? Im unsure of all the mods that add ore gen but Ill relist

Metallurgy
Tinkers Construct
Buildcraft
IC2
AE2
Railcraft(Unsure of this adds world gen)
Thaumcraft(Dont believe this adds normal ore gen, just their own stuff)

And I guess Ill need to read really well to see if I can make ore gen normal. Question ontop of question though, since Ill be cutting extra ore gen, does that mean other ores will now spawn more? I would always find veins of copper into copper. Will losing one copper ore gen mean now something like iron or whatever could properly spawn in a certain chunk will now spawn? Cause if I could finally find iron or quartz then starting a new world will be well worth it after messing with configs.

Centralize around IC2 since you have it. Use CoFH Core to control the world gen (I think it's been released). And cutting one ore won't make another spawn instead, you're just getting unlucky with oregen.

So, the resonate rise pack? Does anyone know just how recource intensive it is? As far as your computer to run it? How many mods does it have?

Following on @malicious's description, RR is very resource heavy and will require a monster PC to run decently.
When you start it up you can select which optional mods you want to enable (such as minimaps), selecting none of these should get you less than 200 mods! So you will have decreased lag.
I wouldn't recommend RR though, it really is just a very large modpack full of mods. It has no theme but it popular due to its vast amount of mods.
If I were you, I would make my own modpack or choose something like FTB Monster. :)

So for monster would you need 3gb allocated? Or would just 2gb work? I have an intel e2180 cpu, and im wondering if a 64 bit install and 4gb of total ram would run monster? Right now i only have 2gb of ram and 32 bit, so would that upgrade make it capable of running monster?

Nice job. Make sure the age is not unstable. If it is, you will lose everything in that dimension gradually. Receiving potion effects in the age are the most obvious indication of this. You can find more information about instability and the rest of Mystcraft here.

You can turn instability off in the config to be safe, if you want. To do this, open core.cfg in the (modpack)/minecraft/config folder and change this line:

Code:
    B:options.instability=true
Into this:
Code:
    B:options.instability=false

119.

In fact, Hypno started having what I think were Mining Fatigue effects a couple of episodes ago in his Mythcraft age... After a couple of mods were updated on his server.[DOUBLEPOST=1402073489][/DOUBLEPOST]
Why does @ThatOneSlowking now have a DragCave? 0_0

*ahem* Anyway... how would one contribute to the wiki, and in what way?

Judging from some Wiki entries, it doesn't matter... Nobody checks some of that stuff anyway :D

From my experience 2 GB will lag, but 2.5 is fine (without a texture pack). Adding a texture pack to that mix you'll end up wanting around 3 GB of RAM to throw at it.

I wouldn't mind RR because it combines all my staple mods with Mekanism. The only reason I don't play that private pack on the FTB launcher with that is because it also has Gregtech, which is a total abortion of a mod XD

I'm not familiar with him. I presume he's a Youtuber? You should let him know that his world might be destroyed. :p

When you run FTB, what is the CPU usage in Task Manager? That CPU is 7 years old, so perhaps it is a bottleneck for your performance.

He asked if it as "ok" to talk about the AT Launcher modpacks on here, he didn't ask for more information about it. You told him to go to the AT Launcher forum instead of answering his question?
This is a thread for getting answers to questions. Why would he ask if it's okay to talk about it here if he didn't want to get information about it? The packs in ATLauncher use different mod combinations and configuration files than FTB. Although there does not seem to be solid rules against talking about it here, their information would be more accurate. Hence, why I said "probably" instead of an absolute word. It was an answer to his question.

He asked if he could talk about the launcher on these forums, maybe discuss what he ALREADY knows.

It was an answer to his question, but no the correct answer, not even along the same lines! He wanted to know it if was ok to talk about the AT Launcher on here, you are just supplying him with information about the launcher.
The first part of your quote was just mentioning more of "about AT" rather than "is it ok to talk about AT?", so that still does not answer his question.
I know this is a thread for getting answers to questions, I can read. It is a bit silly to point out the obvious don't you think?

Now, if you don't mind, I have answered his question properly, there is no need for you to quote me anymore.
