I would agree that it is very unlikely.

But if you backup your world and try it you can let us know - if you fail restore the saved world and nothing lost but a little time

Is there some reason Infinity seems to be overriding the dofiretick gamerule? It's set to "false" (that exact string) but fire is still spreading. I considered putting this in a bug ticket, but I already have 2 open already and don't feel like tracking a third, especially if this is something that's not even a bug.

I believe r does that. You can change it just like most key-bindings

i'll try it when I get off of work... I'll also check to see if there's keyconflicts... but for some reason the key configs for the mods aren't ... don't seem to be all there and there's a few conflicts... I need 2 keyboards for the all the ancillary keybinds :p

Hey mod idea... wheel of keybinds that we never ever really use but once in a forever lol

update: Thanks Lenscas I removed all the keybinds I never use and it worked lol. Weird thing though I didn't find the config key for it in the key configs... weird huh but hey it works now.

The config for stopping leaves breaking stuff is also not working.

You know how AE cables will cause memory leaks and serious lag issues and functionality if they cross?

Is the same true of Thermal Expansion power cables? Is there an advantage of laying them out in grid patterns like this or connecting them via straight lines?

They will? o_O

I think the Thermal Dynamics itemducts cache the item paths, so using straight lines would only make a difference when you change something in the pipe network.

Which method will provide me with more chestnut drops from my Forestry Chestnut trees? A Forestry Multifarm, or an MFR Fruit Picker? I've always used Forestry methods to obtain Forestry products, however someone I play with, who is also growing chestnut trees on our server, told me his MFR Fruit Picker gives him tons of chestnuts and he can barely keep up with it. My Multifarm seems awfully slow in comparison. If you've experimented with Multifarm vs Fruit Picker I'd love to hear your opinion before I take the time to change my entire production line.

I really don't think it matters, since the speed is dependant on the maturing rate of the leaf blocks.

Well, I extracted the "High" Yield trait off Plum trees and applied it to my Chestnut Trees. I also have alvearies with bees having the "Ripening" Effect trait under the Chestnut trees. The drop rate on chestnuts still seems awfully low to me, in comparison to what my server-mate is getting from his MFR Fruit Picker. I guess I'll have to set up an experiment then and see for myself.

Is there anything else I've forgotten to do to make my Chestnuts work optimally fast besides Genetics and Bees?

Light level might make a difference. Some crops/plants/trees etc. grows faster during the day/when lighted up. Not sure if this applies to the ripening of forestry fruit however, but worth a try I suppose. Knowing Sengir's eye for adding RL details it probably does however :p

Hmm, yes I don't light up my tree farm because I didn't think it was necessary. I guess I'll have to expand my experiment then to include light levels. Thanks a lot, rhn, for increasing my work load. LOL Seriously, thanks for the advice.

If all else fails, you could try the bee that produces Nutdew (I think) which can be squeezed into seed oil. I don't rember the name of this bee off the top of my head though, not used it in a fair while.

In Infinity modpack, it's the Farmed Bee. Good suggestion, another one I've forgotten over time. I'd have to experiment to see how many Farmed Bees it takes to provide the same seed oil as one Chestnut Tree. It's a good experiment but not sure I'll make the effort to find out. Maybe I'll get motivated tho.

I guess at a minimum I could swap out my "Ripening" Effect bees and use Farmed Bees instead (put Ripening Effect on them). That would give me a bonus of the Nutdew drops while my bees are helping my chestnuts to ripen faster.

Farmed is its name. But comparing the infrastructure needed, the Chestnut trees is something like 10-50x more efficient.(from what I remember back from Unleashed when I last did them both) .

Oh btw. I think the Chestnut leaves can be bonemealed to ripen. Maybe something that produces that effect can be applied? it probably wont work, but the mega OP fertilizer from MFR?

To whom it may concern, if one were to place sigils with AoE effects into bound armour, along with a master blood orb to effectively nullify the LP use of said sigils...

...and then one were to place said bound armour upon an armour stand...

...would one still get the AoE effects?
