try removing the backups folders that aroma creates and try to load the world again and let me know what happens next.
Will try. I was looking around in the map-pack folder and under saves I found something called back ups. These were .dat files. I don't know what adds them, could that be the culprit?

I can't seem to get back on worlds that have been loaded. Says something along the lines of "Backup is using a .dat files, you should make a back up" Then it has a yes and no button. Yes doesn't seem to do anything and no just puts me back to the main screen.
i got that error message once when i had both ftb and multimc open at the same time when i closed both and ran only one i had no problems

Make sure there is no latent process open for minecraft or ftb that is holding on to the map. Other than what @lbjodom said, I have never seen that error before, so kind of at a loss as to the cause.

how do I do that? I was also poking around in the saves folder and found a folder named Back up. Any idea what this is from?

worst-case, yes, remove the mod. But ultimately not sure what is causing that for you since I have not seen that error before. Is there any logs showing what's going on when that screen shows up?

Hi there,

Just having a bit of a problem with the HQM, we went out and did the building of our base/home. Now that it is all finished we decided to start on the quests, unfortunately every time we try to open the HQM quest book it crashes us out of the game. I noticed you mentioned copying over the HQM folder from the client to the server for someone else as was wondering if this would fix the crashing problem as well?

Please note its only the local client that crashes not the server.

Thank you.

Regards
Dove

well, first would need a crash log, this is the first report of client only crashing. You say we, are you playing on a lan? If so, lan seems to cause issues for all kinds of mods, but you could try changing the HQM config for sync with server to false.
I can post the log of the game, don't know how long it's going to be. Is there supposed to be a backup folder in the save folder?
I've mentioned twice already that yes, it is created by aroma backup, but yes, pastebin, google drive, or even paste.feed-the-beast.com to post a crash log.

Oh sorry no its hosted on a server online, no Lan. Also there was no crash report on the client. I ended up comparing both HQM folders, and the server one was definitely different. Made a back-up of the server folder and copied the local one over and its all working now.

Thank you.

I'm sorry I haven't been here for a bit, wasn't feeling good, so I laid down. Past bin won't let me post it, saying it's too large, tried to post it here, crashed the website for me. I'm at a lost. I think I am just going to have to let this go.

When i use your code it says Invalid private package? the code is tolkienadv2 right? ( sorry i am new to FTB )

FTB has not quite yet pinpointed the cause for several modpacks having download issues. As a result, they are advising to use the CurseCDN as the download location. I have had some reports of the Atlanta-2 server working as well.
———————————————————————————————————————
One ring to build them all….

That is from the first page, if you are unsure how to do that see guide below:

>Open FTB Launcher
>Go to options
>Advanced Options
>Change Download locations to one of the ones mentioned above
>Exit Advanced options

Pack Code = tolkienadv2

Hope that helps :)
