Most of its worldgen is disabled anyway. It's there specifically for the graves though I let the catacombs (but without the surrounding graveyard) generate as a little bit of exploration content if people feel like tackling it. The fog issue was something I was not aware of, but I have now disabled it for 0.7 so thanks for the heads up. Night and Thunder stones are also being disabled from it for 0.7 as PurpleMentat brought it to my attention that they aren't particularly server friendly.I just started playing this yesterday, it seems very interesting, I'm especially liking the botania/magical crops/agricraft interactions. I think I spent most of the day just standing in my fields upgrading my seeds, I got a few into the 7-5 range and it was very satisfying.
One thing I noticed was the GraveStone mod is still really buggy and annoying (flashing horizons during sunset/rise (had to disable the fog in config to fix), not being able to turn off the random sword grave cycling in NEI, etc.), and I'm curious how integral it is to the pack/experience. I know it has a fair amount of world gen and a lot of bloat that spills out into other areas of the game, I'd like to remove it and replace it with openblocks and just not use any of the openblocks stuff, but I don't know if that would screw me up now or later.
Yea, thaumium is the correct mining level. It used to be higher, at steel level before.I am using the 0.6.5 version. Yes, I mined it before, but looks like the completion of the "fire away" quest changed the mining level to thaumium.
Honestly its probably just a run of bad luck. If you want to do some creative mode testing to double check its spawning you can spawn in a Digital Miner and power source for it and just filter it to look for nether emerald. So I've run into an issue.
I can't find nether emerald ore. I've spent about 4 hours wandering the surface of the nether and another hour branch mining at Y=10 with an excavator. Have found a ton of ores but zero emerald.
I looked through the netherores config file and it seems like it should be spawning although I could have missed something.
I am running a server that started in .64 then updated to .65.
Is this a known issue? Anyone have hints on how to find the ore. As far as I can tell from the configs it should spawn from Y=1-127 but maybe there is something I'm missing.

I sort of cheated with the pickaxe progression. I made a TNT block and blew up an osmium vein. It can apparently mine cobalt and ardite.

Yea, this isn't possible with some of the changes I've made in 0.7...I sort of cheated with the pickaxe progression. I made a TNT block and blew up an osmium vein. It can apparently mine cobalt and ardite.
I love to see exploits get squashed.Yea, this isn't possible with some of the changes I've made in 0.7...
Yea, unfortunately to stop this one I had to go to some interesting measures. Explosions will now completely destroy any blocks they break now (the blocks will never drop as an item). To balance this though I made creepers environmentally friendly with codechickencore so they don't become utterly infuriating landscape destroyers.I love to see exploits get squashed.
Actually, it would be really easy to make a custom mod that changes the blast resistance of Nether ores to like 500. Not saying I have any idea how, but yeah.Yea, unfortunately to stop this one I had to go to some interesting measures. You know you can use rotten flesh in the smelter to get blood right?LOL, I briefly considered doing the same, but I am now burning myself in the smeltery to get pig iron. Apparantly, I am a pig, hehehe
hehe, well now I doYou know you can use rotten flesh in the smelter to get blood right?
NP also thaumium ingots used to be able to be turned into pick head striaght from the Parts builder unless that was fixed in this pack you could just research that and make a tickers thaumium pick.
