i hope the new pack comes soon... this situation is totally killing our server... user averages dropped from 85 to 20 because they're all waiting for the reset... i don't care about saving the map... most people have blown up their homes. downloading the whole map to a local computer for fixing...

if you're in creative, cheating diamonds in directly is recommended ;)

now excuse my ignorance, if i am indeed ignorant, but shouldn't you guys KNOW which ID's are in conflict and thus know which exact blocks might be replaced? "we didn't find any missing blocks" sounds a little bit clueless to me.

oh i see, that's new. but from the updated changelog in the forums, v5 should have the versions you're looking for. seems like they have not been pushed to the launcher yet.

you don't have dw20 v5 they are still testing that version and it hasn't been published yet. and when it gets published, it's gonna have those updates you want now.

well, quarry makes big big holes and gathers lots of junk but if you set it up right it's kinda a fire and forget thing for quite some time. though, in the current buildcraft, quarries can be very fast with enough power. miner is far more selective, so it's faster. but you'll have to move it...

honestly, i think they just go with what they got now. for example, nobody has heard anything about an official logistic pipes release by krapht yet. it's not like i need those, but would an ultimate pack really be ultimate without them? so if the mods they have make some certain packs...

well i think he said IN the next 24 to 48 hours... and i think he meant distribution. they are still testing and balancing stuff, so that might be quick or take a while, we'll see.

thaumcraft runs on 1.4.5 so it might not be needed to update at all. ftb "standard" pack doesn't even include thaumcraft anyway. from what i gather, only ultimate and magic pack will have it. and direwolf20 pack probably.

you could use your boiler to power steam turbines as well :)

actually i didn't even count them. it was just a guess. also i can still hear them when i'm right above. they noise is quite low though, and i don't stand at that place a lot.

i totally agree about that. it just confuses me that no lappack was even mentioned. btw, gregtech offers some chest armour with integrated batteries. it also has that interdimensional power thing, which you could place and charge your stuff with anywhere. very expensive stuff though, so probably...

now, before even thinking about any overly complicated solution i have to ask: you have thought about using a lappack or something similar, have you? that might keep it running long enough for you not to think about any overly complicated solutions as well..

in config/railcraft/railcraft.cfg look for B:play.sounds=true change true to false, disables all railcraft sounds. i just built my rockcrushers somewhat away from my home. about 20 blocks underground actually.

now i might be wrong on this, but i think recyclers know slabs and lower the chance for scrap on them. what worked great in the past were redpower microblocks. of course we don't have those now. not yet.
