    A Player's Guide to Redpower 2 Blutricity

It gives people an idea of how much power they need for things like tunnel bores. Thanks!

EMC - EE - Energy Condenser

It apparently either does or will auto-nerf itself to the best recipe. My biggest problem is always iron in any modpack. So many things depend on it.

What does YOUR Power Room look like?

Honestly, I never bothered with steam turbines. There isn't much that I need the EU for that can't be done with MJ, besides UU-Matter (for which I use lava gens), and I find that my biggest limitation is always iron to begin with. I don't see how this could be nerfed easily, actually. Even if...

Could you please include the movement rate of frame motors as well?

EMC - EE - Energy Condenser

What part did I cut out that was important? What ways did you suggest that don't conflict? So what about when a mod makes a relatively inexpensive way to turn a low-tier item into a high-tier item, as defined by EE? So what is your solution to dark rooms? Make one bone meal equivalent to the...

What does YOUR Power Room look like?

Hmm... 1 blaze rod every 3 seconds? That's 288MJ/t+ with 2 boilers (288+eu/t with conversion), or 100eu/t with generators. That's not bad, to put it mildly. My own setup (Steve's carts woodcutter + sawmill) produces enough for 1 boiler with extra.

What does YOUR Power Room look like?

How many blaze rods per second do you make with that? Also, which tier of spawner, and does it work when you're not around?

EMC - EE - Energy Condenser

Self-contradiction, much? Although, it wasn't the flowers that were the real problem, IMO. It was that you could easily do loops (blaze rods, dark rooms, etc.) Unfortunately, the charm of EE2 was exactly that - that you could trade anything for anything else. Properties would either...

    A Player's Guide to Redpower 2 Blutricity

That it does. Try putting a batbox beside a frame motor with x frames and see how many pulses until it won't work. You may have to build something to destroy frames at the front and place new ones at the back, though.

    QuickTip: Boilers and Liquiducts

Shift-clicking: use a crescent hammer. As for the liquiduct not working: each pipe can either be in input mode or output mode. If you have one pipe, it won't work. What you're doing by continually wrenching it is allowing it to fill and drain its internal buffer.

EMC - EE - Energy Condenser

Easier, yes. Mind you, so does IC2. Boring? I would disagree with that. The most fun I've had with MC was with EE2. It removed the tedious parts while retaining the variety (You still have to go to a nether fortress at some point, etc.)

Anti-Griefing and Trust with Physics: Keeping Order w/out Bukkit Plugins or Whitelists

I can see a few issues with this, and have a few questions / comments. What happens when you accidentally promote a thief/griefer/etc.? What happens when someone brings a linking book to the overworld / another dimension to the DMZ zone? What about Twilight Forest portals? I believe those...

Problem Server Disabled Due to Excessive Handles

Handles, in this sense, are references to resources such as files. Assuming this is a Windows server from the screenshot, ask the server host to run Process Explorer (free download from Windows SysInternals) and open the handle view for the server Java process. They may have to enable unnamed...

    About the Custom Packs! :)

Omit the conditional and you have my vote with those ideas.

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

They (both the BC and RP2 one) do have a range cap. It's just a long distance. With enderchests being more expensive, people would just use Mystcraft portals + tank carts, adding lag for servers while not actually making it harder for players. Not to mention that canvas bags are dirt cheap (64...

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

Running wood through a sawmill is marginally more efficient. Also, power in my SSP not-quite-MindCrack world is currently about half and half steve's carts woodcutter and geothermal. The wooden planks power a steam boiler (~1 plank a second) for the bulk of my power generation. I use the...

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

Example? Also, if correct, this says that there is a mismatch between mods. What is your reasoning for saying lava is overpowered, as opposed to, say, water mills (or whatever generation method that you are saying lava generation makes obsolete) being underpowered? You are aware that some lavas...

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

I thought your intent was to help SMP lag from people doing massive nether lava pumping operations?

Convert a Direwolf20 map to a FTB Beta Pack A

Sorry, I, and many others, was caught unaware, considering the announcements were "the official Feed The Beast launcher and modpack!", " As new mods are updated and released to the public these mods will be intergrated into the packs", "The following is a list of some of the mods in the initial...
