    That's what I thought. I have yet to see a frame bore that both can dig a distance accurately and deals with gravel.

    Decrease complexity in loaded chunks. Specifically, tile entities that do updates (machines, wires, et cetera) Also, try turning off anything you have running (both in-game and on the computer). See if that helps.

    And this is why I am always iffy about posting optimization threads on forums that the mod authors frequent. Oh well. You gain some, you lose some. BTW, do you know that currently sawmills are currently (barely) the most efficient way to generate power (BC or IC2) from wood?

    Power conduits currently have a fixed power loss of 5%, regardless of distance. (Note that doing ex. conduit -> power cell -> conduit would mean you get the 5% loss both times) Also, you can connect a liquiduct to a steam boiler multiple times for greater throughput.

    First issue is generally server lag. (Remember that even SSP is now server-based!) As for the second issue, try pressing "O" (I believe?) to disable the NEI interface and see if that fixes it. (You can press "o" again to restore the GUI)

    You can disable Buildcraft's ability to load chunks. As the only thing that loads chunks in BC currently is the quarry, that's effectively the same thing.

    Unfortunately, the mod permissions for FTB specifically don't extend to private packs. As such, you'd have to hunt down all requisite permissions (not just additions). Also, it's a WIP. Although the feature is implemented in the launcher, there isn't a way to create one currently, I believe...

    Actually, nope. At the start, when you would be using a generator, make a hobbyist's steam engine, running off of charcoal. Make a sawmill ASAP, and start running everything on planks instead of charcoal. When you would upgrade to solars or windmills, make a steve's carts woodcutter.

    One could, but it would have to be manual. Basically every move, write current state to file. On program load, load state. That way if you press ctrl-T it will stop, and you can resume it by simply re-running the program.

    I fail to see the issue. This isn't "platinum as a catalyst makes limitless iridium for free". It's "Bunches of ores that have been turned into slag can be used to make iridium".
