Thoroughly agree. And as I've mentioned, fillers can (and were when drops were disabled on my old server) be used for large-scale mining even when they don't drop items - have them dig out slits of one block in three and jetpack down the rows, gathering exposed ores.

Can an extruder output into another extruder? Also, you should be using pipes anyway - it's cheaper as you don't have to make 1 in 9 of the extruders.
