If you have GregTech installed, then Greg's turbines, with carbon turbine rotors, are the most efficient way of getting eu from steam there is. Only problem is that carbon turbine rotors don't last very long, and you have the expense of the turbine itself. But if efficiency is what you're after...

Since i've not used dartcraft yet, what does the force wrench do exactly? I know it lets you move blocks, but I guess there's more to it than that? I really don't know why people think moving spawners, or even using soul shards, is OP. You could get plenty of loot and XP from vanilla farms...

I know. What I meant was mystcraft in 1.4.7 was FAR worse. Seriously, you'd be lucky to even have the right biome. Now its actually useable for stuff (e.g. mushroom void worlds for a mob-free space base thing).

No. They exist in 1.5.2. So does the updated mystcraft stuff you probably saw in DW20's FG2 episode on mystcraft. Incidentally this is pretty much the first time mystcraft actually gives you a world that matches the pages (mostly).

Boiler powers oil fabricator + refinery to make fuel, use fuel to power boiler. Gives a +39% return on a fully heated up 36hp boiler. Alternatively you could make a desert oil field with mystcraft and drain that for fuel.

Why do you care so much about what it looks like when you don't spend that much time outside it? These days I just spawn in a quarry to dig a big hole for me to live in. Building = (unnecessary) effort.

Necrobump ftw? Anyway, this thread was made before the 1.5 packs had been released. Since then its been fine (as in, it actually gives you the right biome, and no floating islands). Thanks anyway though.

It'll be sad to see TE go, though hopefully it'll still be developed by someone else. Most of the stuff is replacable fortunately, though distributing MJ with conductive pipes will be annoying. Still, I suppose I can make do.
