    Question about Weapons and Tools.

I guess it is OP for mobs, though its not as if they're a challenge anyway once you've got enchanted diamond armour (which doesn't take THAT long to get even in vanilla). I really only use it for building and travelling at speed. Well, you could argue that heat shielding already does this...

    Question about Weapons and Tools.

You can also make the quantum helmet act as a light helmet in the configs, though I don't know why you'd want to. The constant lighting updates are both annoying and create fps lag, which is even more annoying. Just use night vision. It seems the railgun is the only thing which causes MPS heat...

    Question about Weapons and Tools.

True, but don't you just HATE not being able to fly? Seriously the earlier tameable pterodactyls are added the better.

    Nerfing the Nerfs!

I think the crux of this discussion is: under what circumstances does making things take longer add to difficulty? Think about this: suppose you bought a game, where the hardest part was beating the final boss. If the game has a cheat code that allows you to skip everything, aside from the...

    Get Tons of Unlimited EU!

Kudos for ingenuity, though somewhat impractical. On a related note; just what is the point of single-use batteries?.

    Nerfing the Nerfs!

CASUC no longer exists, unless you mean condensators? They use a lot of lapis, though lapis bees and using AE to autocraft the frames makes it quite manageable. The alternative is CRCS, which has high startup costs, though is pretty amazing to see in action. Also, geothermal spam wouldn't be a...

    Nerfing the Nerfs!

I could argue that the reason reactors are so expensive is because the FTB team have decreed that we must use Thermal expansions ore generation, which has hardly any copper and tin compared to IC2 (which is ridiculous considering most other mods barely use them, TE included).

How do you charge the Adv Jetpack & Nanosuits ect?

We're supposed to be encouraging creativity, not just thermal/solar spam. Nuclear for example (some setups get you even more eu/t/block than ultimate hybrid solar panels). Admittedly, ways of generating EU directly are somewhat lacking without GT, but you could always hook up some power...

In your next Direwolf20 build, will you bother with IC2?

The original pyramid of giva was 145m tall. Since then the top 7m have been mysteriously knocked off. Now I think about it: a filler can build in pyramid shapes right? Set that going a few times and you'll have a replica wonder of the ancient world in no time!

In your next Direwolf20 build, will you bother with IC2?

Do you mean the running costs, or the upfront costs? Both of these would be solved if the FTB people enabled IC2 ore generation by default - copper and tin are very common at all height levels. Uranium can be annoying to mass produce without bees, but a good breeder should negate this problem...

In your next Direwolf20 build, will you bother with IC2?

I agree with this. I also wouldn't want to lose my precious reactors... even if they do explode every now and then.

In your next Direwolf20 build, will you bother with IC2?

Its not IC2's fault other mods have added items that are better than IC2's. Remember, IC2 got there first.

What mod adds liquid barrels? They allow for really compact liquid storage, and are much cheaper than void capsules.

    Mindcrack iron vs xycraft tanks

It would need to to 5x5x6. Both xycraft and railcraft (iron) tanks can store 16 buckets ber tank block, however xycraft tanks don't count the tank walls. This is balanced by the fact that xycraft tanks are way cheaper (you can make them out of cobblestone) and they can be made much bigger, up to...

    Breaking the nether ceiling

You know, you can get on top of the nether even in vanilla. Find a spot where the bedrock is only 1 block thick, place a ladder below it and another block below the ladder. Then throw an ender pearl at the ladder. If done correctly your feet should be in the bedrock, allowing you to jump up...

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

Is there any equivalent to the diamond transport pipe for liquids? For instance, if I wanted to pump oil out of an ocean, how would I stop the system from being clogged by water? Also: do ender tanks still cause chunk resets in 1.5?

Is there anything that can cause a nuclear reactor to spontaneously explode?

I could, but where's the fun in that? As the old saying goes: Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

My power gloves soaks the eu from my jetpack!

EU and MPS energy are entirely interchangeable. It means that MPS equipment can charge EU tools & armour. Conversely, it means an EU tool/armour will charge MPS stuff. This is intended. Funnily enough, I keep noticing that whenever I make an energy/lapotron crystal, the kinetic generator on my...

Is there anything that can cause a nuclear reactor to spontaneously explode?

I was only using the reactor planner to show the reactor layout. In the version i'm using, plutonium is the same as in the planner except it produces less heat than before, meaning its even less likely to fail. The lapis bees were constantly being fed with untreated frames, meaning they...

Is there anything that can cause a nuclear reactor to spontaneously explode?

The other day I had finished my plutonium reactor to generate lots of lovely EU for my massfab. The layout of the reactor is shown here. I'm using a combination of golems and AE autocrafting to recharge the LZH condensators, which are fed by lapis bees. I even installed a nuclear control heat...
