Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

I can. However, There are two files, one called 'ForgeModLoader-client-0' (which is an ordinary text document) and 'ForgeModLoader-client-0.log.lck' (which is an lck file, whatever that is). Here's the first of those documents (with my name starred out): I have no idea how to upload the...

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

I just tried playing with the magicfarm pack for a change in pace, but whenever it tries to launch MC I get an error message saying: There was a fatal error starting up minecraft and FML Minecraft cannot launch in its current configuration Please consult the file...

FTB - It´s to easy, how to make it hard?

No offence, but you'd have to be an complete idiot to let yourself die from overheating. Slap on a bunch of heat shielding and the cooling thing (can't remember what its called, it goes on the torso piece) and you're golden. Even if you do overheat, you don't die immediately. You have more than...

    Unleashed, turning off cave ambients.

I don't think it forces you to re-download the files (luckily).

FTB - It´s to easy, how to make it hard?

To be honest, I don't think that hardcore mode is a very good 'hard' mode. It only forces you to be more careful. Once you have at least iron armour there's little you need to worry about; once you get MPS armour there's nothing to worry about. A good way to give yourself hardmode would be to...

Colecting items in a large radius

I said lag COULD be a problem, not that it necessarily would be. My computer can handle the load, so i'll use it. Besides, you call a treefarm 'laziness', but some people don't like having to find a complex solution to a basic problem. Personally, I like to try a range of different things, but a...

Colecting items in a large radius

While I mostly agree with this, for me tree-breeding (which is practicaly required for decent amounts of ethanol) is so annoying that I don't even bother with it anymore. The time required to get even 1 good trait in a sapling could be better spent doing other stuff. Urgh. Biofuel, ethanol...

Colecting items in a large radius

Except all those saplings have the potential to cause fps lag. Just try setting up a 25x25 mfr tree farm with vanilla jungle trees to see what I mean. To be perfectly honest though, I don't know why people bother turning their saplings into biomass. The amount of infrastructure you need to...

    gregtech-nuclear reactor

I should probably point out that the reactor planner is a bit out of date. The most important update is that plutonium now only produces 2x as much heat as the equivalent amount of uranium, not 2.25X as much. Also, thorium produces 0.2X as much heat as uranium, not 0.25X as much. This means...

    Question about the magicfarm pack

Ah yes, I had forgotten that vanilla hoppers can act as pipes. But with each one costing 5 iron, its way too expensive to be a replacement for them. I also forgot about hopper minecarts, but i'm not sure how they work. I didn't realise extra utils added pipes. What sort of pipes does it add?

    Question about the magicfarm pack

So i'm thinking of playing with the magicfarm pack with all the tech mods disabled (AE, BC, TE etc). The problem with doing this is that there would be no way of transporting items (no pipes). Do any of the non-tech mods add a way for transporting items? If not, then I guess i'd have to install...

    Oil Field

Oil fires are annoying. Thank god you can make mystcraft ages with desert oil fields biomes. Still, could be worse. Imagine if you'd been pumping a mystcraft oil ocean. Fire = bye bye server.

    greg has lost his mind.......

Why is it a 'ridiculous fad'? Who are you to tell people what mods they can and cannot use?

    greg has lost his mind.......

How rare is osmium? Because you get the same amount from sheldonite (or more with mercury cells) which isn't exactly rare. I think many people miss the point of GT, it isn't just about 'making things harder'. If Greg is introduces a bunch of new stuff that needs iridium, then another way of...

    Question about MFR bioreactor

My setup is working amazingly, using vanilla, natura and BoP trees, but there's another problem; I can't drain the biofuel out of the bioreactor quick enough. How can I drain it more quickly?

    Question about MFR bioreactor

Hmm, I just noticed a major problem; MFR planters don't work with forestry trees. This means there's only a limited number of tree types I can use? What else can I use, given that crops don't grow nearly as quickly? EDIT: Fortunately the planters do work with natura trees. Problem averted.

    POLL: GUI Scale

Normal for me. Funnily enough the GUI scale is bigger with Auto than it is with Large (at least it is on my monitor).

    Question about MFR bioreactor

Well, AE would be the most convenient, since then I just transfer the items instantaneously and directly into and from my AE network. However, AFAIK you can't use them to specify the number of items that should be in an inventory.

    Question about MFR bioreactor

I've decided that i'm going to power my newest base with biofuel from an MFR bioreactor. For maximum efficiency I'm going to give it 9 different types of items to process. Conveniently, MFR farms can divide their plots into a 3x3 grid, and can grow different things in each square. This raises 2...
