Personally i'll be getting an PS4, I prefer the sony exclusives (the PS3 was worth it just for Demon's souls IMO). Also my PC is pretty old, gtting the parts for a decent (by today's standards) one would probably be more expensive as well. Then again, I don't know anyone that still plays games...

This sounds great. Chunk loading in FTB is pretty much a given now, meaning I end up spawning one in. With this trick I guess I won't have to. Also, I doubt it would be patched. It would cause more problems that it would solve.

This reminds me: Oracle got hacked a few months ago, so I haven't downloaded a new version of java since then. I guess its safe now?

A question about the halloween stuff: is it only around until halloween, or is it here to stay? There's a lot of stuff added, it'd be a shame if it went away in november.

I'm not a techy person, so maybe cubic chunks would be the best way. However, having increased height/depth would lead to people building bigger structures. Trouble is, if they get too big then you won't be able to see the top from the bottom. It seems to me that this, in a way, also prevents...

While I would love to have far more verticality in MC than there currently is, I'm not sure if having cubic chunks is the right way to do it.

I recently got terraria in the steam sale. Hardmode is kinda annoying - titanium is too rare, meaning the game is artificially drawn out when it doesn't need to be. Still good though. I got the megashark last night. That + crystal bullets = :) Also, I wouldn't call the scourge of the corruptor...

Seriously, why bump a thread about a mod that is no longer being updated and never will be?

For me, the "vanilla" bit is the most boring by far. I try to get through it as quickly as possible (annoying when there aren't any nearby caves). It doesn't get interesting until I get the stuff for some basic machines, tools, maybe some MPS with a few basic modules etc.

Unfortunately, Mk 1's are the only ones guaranteed not to blow up. Whenever I try a CRCS/condensator setup, regardless of the instantaneous transfer, chunkloading, and the reactor switching off whenever it gets too hot, they STILL blow up. At least the cost of quad cells has been reduced to...

Urgh. I would install infernal mobs myself if not for rust. I don't like the idea of spending weeks getting a nice suit of armour, only to have it dashed away by a single mob. I don't suppose there's a way to repair MPS/quantum armour is there? Even if I was just using plain old diamond...

You know, its funny that. After all this time, I think IC2 is the only other mod to offer real 'end-game' armour (unless you count the IC2 derivatives). Anyway, I seriously wouldn't bother with anything other than energy shielding. Sure, you lose energy whenever you get hit. But the energy...
