It's possible slow launching and low frame rate is caused by having mipmap set too high, if it isn't set to 0 try dropping it and seeing if it helps.

As you've picked a Minecraft server host you should find that their support is much better equipped to talk you through the process. They will know the specifics of your setup and it might even prompt them to include older packs on their installer :)

You are trying to make an argument on behalf of mod developers, while taking a stance opposite to the 2 mod developers who are replying to you. Minecraft is continually evolving, there are Vanilla bugs that won't be getting fixed in 1.10 for instance, plus Forge support for 1.10 won't be around...

@Magzie i believe KL has already said that porting to 1.11 wouldn't be much work for TE. By declaring our intent to move to 1.11 now, the hope is the remaining mods stuck in 1.10 land will port to 1.11 sooner rather than later. This is not a bad thing at all.

It is more that we know the update to 1.11 from 1.10 is not that disruptive and it should be a fairly straightforward update/port for most, if not all of the mods in the pack.

I believe FTB Utilities has an /FTB kickme command to get you out of bed in these circumstances.

The aim is to release expert mode on 1.11.x, preferably along with a normal mode update that brings it to 1.11 as well. Obviously there are a lot of factors out of our control that will affect our ability to actually do that.

If your mip-map is set to >0 try setting it to 0. It was recently fixed so that it works correctly and now needs a lot of video RAM for higher settings

This is the answer here, you could probably crank everything else right up if you knock that down to 0

If you have issues with the chunk loading create an issue in the bug forum. That way you can be sure the pack Dev knows about it.

We avoid world breaking updates. If we do end up pushing an update that is going up break people's maps it'll be clearly marked.

This is a brand new pack. No idea which pack you think you can update to make it Beyond but it won't work. New pack, new map.
