  • Tech Support section is for getting help with FTB related problems. If there's a repeatable issue that can be labeled as a bug, then please use the issue tracker for the pack or the app at GitHub issue trackers - If there's no repository for a pack that means that the pack is old and/or will not be updated. Bugs for older packs will not be fixed, unless they are critical.

Details of the issue I am not sure where to post this. I am trying to set up FTB Magic world 2 for a server for the first time.

I have run minecraft servers offsite. I have used margicworld 2 on my LAN

I use https://www.beastnode.com/ for my server.

If i understand the instructions for ftb coorectly, I download the jar file, I download the modpack, and I upload it to my server.

but I am confused. Do I need to start the server first? Beastnode comes with vanilla, Misc Custom Server Jar, and a bunch of FTB mods, but not Magic World.

So do I start a vanella server then upload the files? fo I start the custom server jar and then upload?

The files I downloaded from FTB for magicworld 2 include 2 directories (libraries and overrides) and a file (manifest.jason). From the ftb download page, I also got the jar file.

Do all those just go in the root drive or do I separate them out in different directories?

I am sorry I am lost. I do have technical experience, so I can follow most directions, but I feel I am missing information.

What kind of access do you got, do you got shell access or is there some kind of webpage that you manage your server on (like multicraft or something like that)?

As you've picked a Minecraft server host you should find that their support is much better equipped to talk you through the process. They will know the specifics of your setup and it might even prompt them to include older packs on their installer :)
