We don't support modifications to our packs at all. That said, you are trying load a mod made for 1.7.10 into 1.12.2, this is never going to work (no matter how hard you try).

At what point does it start 'doing nothing'? Does the vanilla launcher open? Does the game start loading once you've hit play in the Vanilla launcher? It's quite difficult to help when you don't actually tell us at which point things don't work as expected.

I would like the App to be able to support optional mods at some point, it's actually a lot more work than it first appears. There is always going to be a few mods in a pack that people don't like, it doesn't mean that nobody likes them though. We get a lot more complaints when we leave that out...
