FTB Tech World 2 Crashes when press Launch

Hey there,

Tried to start the modpack "Tech World 2" (1.6.4 Version/1.1.6) multiple times and had a crash all time when i press "Launch" (Start).
Already readed a few other Posts about this problem in Tech World 2 and about other packs like Direwolf20 and Horizon,
all say something about the correct Java Bit version (mine is 64) and checked it a few times too i got the lastest and
right version for my PC.
16 GB ram and my PC should handle it without any problems, maybe theres someone out there who can help me who
could help me solve that Problem, i know the launcher and the pack are from 2014, or the modpack is just too old and some mods of the list are just not compatible with other mods.


Maybe there are a few informations in this log
if somebody know how to Check what the problem is, I would be happy about your help.

Okay, searched right now an hour on posts and found a solution.
The Team member who send it, was grandolf.
his message was:
Edit this file:
../config/bspkrsCore.cfg

Change B:allowUpdateCheck=true

to

B:allowUpdateCheck=false

Save the file, and make sure not to mess with the format (spaces and such).


it worked for me. so if any other come to this Post bc a 1.6.4 modpack crashes maybe try this first

Yes - now that is the case, back when the original poster had the issue, it was not.

The correct solution here is to use the FTB App, the old launcher is not supported.
