Harvesters I believe have sounds. In mekanism, windmills and machines have sounds, you might have to enable them in the configs though.

you already have total control... go into your mods folder and rip out the things you don't want... in the launcher itself there is also an "Edit mods" tab that you get after downloading the pack.

ah, well then IF you have IC2, you require a certain version.... that's VERY different to the mod in general being dependant on ic2
