Mod Feedback ChromatiCraft questions and suggestions

I can confirm that the same thing has happened to me without Optifine. At the time I decided to arbitrarily blame it on the poorly supported minimap mod I've been using* and not worry about it, though I never bothered to scientifically find out exactly what was causing the problem...

The ritual table is part of a multiblock (which, to be fair, isn't clear in the lexicon), and should be connected to a lumen network in the same manner as the top-tier casting table to function. Usage is as Wraithflay mentioned. After you have infused yourself with an ability using...

Are Chromaticraft aspect jars anywhere near a completed feature? They do not seem to be particularly functional at the moment beyond strictly storing essentia. Using a phial of essentia on them works, but consumes the glass phial, unlike vanilla Thaumcraft warded jars. I cannot find a way to...

    RC/ReC/ElC/CC Policy Changes

I'm having a really hard time trying to understand how Reika's policy change requires you to get approval from him every time you update your pack, unless you have some compulsion to fiddle with the balance of his mods specifically every single time you need to do an emergency update. ...is...

That screenshot didn't actually show a connectivity issue, just a rendering one. For some reason, instead of heading down the right fork, the ley line decided to turn left, follow it all the way to the pylon, then jump back to the first repeater on the right of the fork. It would do the same...

Sanity restored! Thanks Chromaticraft. Though it makes me a bit sad I'll get to retire the old bath salt machine. I've noticed Chromaticraft doesn't like multiple pylons of the same color on the same network very much (link).

I think that's more of an issue with Forge's fluid handling than Chromaticraft itself. The same thing happens with practically every other non-vanilla fluid. That said, having to sacrifice so many shards early-on for crystalline stone is pretty painful.

Might've been my fault. A while ago I posted a setup involving routers that could do continuous 1-tick extraction on exactly 17MW. Reika saw it and decided to nerf it. Although logically to properly heat-treat steel you want to keep it at a specific temperature, making steel in a RoC blast...

I've noticed some oddities with Chromaticraft plant harvesting. I collected a pile of the shiny Chromaticraft flowers, lilies and bushes with some bedrock shears, unsure exactly what to do with them but confident I'd soon find a use, and dumped them in my ME network for a while. After playing...

They used to be walkable in 1.6.4 and, I think, 1.7.10 v1. I recall on the first tokamak I built, the structure encasing the tokamak proper in steel and blast glass was built one block lower than I meant it to be, and one of the stairs leading up on top of it unintentionally incorporated a...

So I saw XCompWiz's LookingGlass announcement from a few days ago. Perhaps this could be used, at least after it's polished up and made more feature-complete, to fix up RoC's CCTV cameras that haven't worked for ages. It's being released under the GNU Lesser GPL v3, which would mean you could...

Have you given FastCraft a go? I wouldn't even bother with 1.7.10 without it.

I remember back in 1.6.4, V22 or something, when I accidentally broke my server by trying to remove a BoP sacred oak using a woodcutter. That was an irritating incident. At least there's MCEdit. Considering Monster 1.1.2 is close to a year out of date at this point, this is not a surprise.

Mod Feedback ChromatiCraft questions and suggestions

I was not suggesting a per-repeater cache, I was suggesting a cache on the network level; a method to partition off separate networks, and also solve the issue with large networks without a valid source. I will admit, I'm not sure how much calculation would be required each time a repeater is...

The way I think I would approach the transmission issue would be a bit different from how it's done now. First, currently all pylons are added to the same cache that is scanned over each time a repeater jump occurs on pylon generation, right? A quick optimization would be to remove all pylons...

First, as Reika mentioned, Geostrata does actually have native FMP support; the mod registers all of its stone automatically on launch: https://github.com/ReikaKalseki/GeoStrata/blob/master/GeoStrata.java#L127 Adding them manually to the FMP config does not help, because I've tried it. Some of...

A thought occurs regarding refrigeration units: if they're going to be able to produce 2 buckets per tick in v3, and the internal tank can only hold 4 buckets, won't this cause problems with fluid extraction, particularly with native RoC pipes? I suggest increasing the refrigeration unit's...

Mod Feedback ChromatiCraft questions and suggestions

Perhaps tossing a vanilla stone slab in front of a pylon and allowing the pylon to zap it would imbue it with Chromaticraft power. Placing the Chromatislab and right clicking it would open a magical documentation UI (though I'll admit I have little idea what that would look like). To unlock more...

    (x / 2048) ^ 2 * 100 = 2000 x ~= 9159 5700 * 9159 = 52.2MW per 2000 mB/t If we need 6500 B/t, we'll need slightly more than 3 machines, which means we'll probably actually need to run 4 machines considering Rotarycraft's wonky speed scaling when approaching 1 operation per tick. Actually...
