    Casting table not working

Check the questbook... Packs like this do silly things like change recipes and can even completely block some functionality off until you complete a prior requirement.

Low fps on good pc (i already posted one but didnt help)

As @rhn said, drop your expectations if you're on a laptop. He said to expect 10-30% lower performance but I've seen as much as a 50% drop on a laptop with Integrated Graphics only. Also, laptop chips are made to be slower in the first place for lightness (heatsinks and cooling) and battery...

    Casting table not working

Sky Adventure is a highly customized pack. I never expect a recipe to survive such customization, particularly TiCo recipes... Usually the first thing to go is tools made out of wood, after all.

    HELP !

For one thing, even if you have 64GB ram on a 64-bit system running a 32-bit Java you will only have a maximum of 4GB available because that version of Java only knows about a 32-bit address range.

    HELP !

Do you have a motherboard with built-in graphics? Many of the "budget" motherboards do. Putting in a card like your 1060 doesn't guarantee it'll be used unless you completely disable the built-in or "Integrated" graphics.

...And trigger it with player ID :D

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

Drop your ram allocation to between 6 and 8GB... Right now your system is spending too much time trying to release any unused ram back to availability and 10GB is a bit too much for the program to swallow in the time allowed. I set my allocation to what the Twitch Profile config says is 7GB but...

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

Yeah... they bumped from the then default ram configuration of 2GB to 4GB in Java 1.8. All the FtB packs I've played since 1.11 have been happier with 6-8GB. I don't blame Oracle and Java... Plenty of software works fine without changing the default configuration. I think the issues lie...

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

Try bumping to 7GB... that's the sweet spot on my system. Do I use Java arguments? Absolutely not! I see too many people replying to MC 1.12 questions with answers that were accurate in version 1.47, making not only the values incorrect but also the value names in the first place due to...

    HELP !

I allocate around 7GB... just under, in fact. I use the Twitch launcher to control the profiles, and so far about 7GB has been good for every 1.12 pack I've tried. The pack build may have had problems, but not game performance :D I get a consistent 120 fps using a GTX 1060 w/6GB as a...

    HELP !

There's a very small window of the peak amount of ram to allocate... Too little and the program is having to slow down to swap parts of the program in and out to operate... Too much and the background "Housekeeping" processes don't have time to finish, causing execution to lag a bit. If you...

To design a Hardcore or Expert Mode pack

@ShneekeyTheLost I don't know if Veinminer is still updated, but the current popular mod to use is "Ore Excavator" or Excavation (not certain of the exact name). It's configuration allows for exclusion of certain tool types from the effects, such as disallowing wooden tools from chopping the...

Ask a simple question, get a simple answer

As @LordPINE said, you can easily change your allocation but it's not as simple as a command line. Here's the procedure with Twitch: 1) Select "Mods" on the top line of the twitch app, next to the "Search" box. 2) Select "Minecraft" from the game thumbnails. 3) Click any part of the...

Problem Low Spec - What modpack to play?

Check your Java version to be sure it's 64-bit... The 32-bit version of Java used to be the default installation unless you specified 64-bit, and a 64-bit Minecraft and mudpack requires 64-bit Java. If, as you say you have 64-bit hardware the best thing you can do is add ram... at least get...

Problem Low Spec - What modpack to play?

With only 3GB ram I'm going to guess that you're running 32 bit Windows and Java, otherwise there'd probably be 4GB supplied when the system was new. Either way I'd say you would be pushing things running anything newer than a 1.7.10 pack, particularly with Intel Integrated graphics and the...

    Biodiesel useless in Continuum?

Look at any of the last few Direwolf20 YouTube series using his pack. He automates Canola all the way to the top tier. While his packs have minimal modifications, Continuum isn't bound by that... But you can get an idea of the type of machines used.

    FTB Performance over the years

In my opinion, a problem lies not WTH Java, but how Minecraft was written. The story I heard/read was that Notch was learning Java (and possibly programming in general) while he wrote Minecraft. A fantastic feat in and of itself, but also indicating less than optimal design. Considering that...

    Change of FTB Mod

If you want to run a 1.13 world it's a bit more involved... You have to create a custom profile to use 1.13.x, and it will be a vanilla profile since neither Forge nor mods (let alone packs) exist for 1.13 yet. Forge is being worked on; when that is released devs can start on new mods. If you...

    Change of FTB Mod

You can keep playing Ultimate and play new packs too, assuming capable hardware, of course. If you get the pack from Twitch it will create a separate profile and use the proper versions of Forge, etc.

    stoneblock question

I'll look into the bag opener, thanks! TIL that you can put the stone crafting table into your 2x2 inventory craft area and convert it into a TiCO crafting station. Benefits include being able to shift-click items onto it, definitely a benefit for compressing sifting materials :D
