For all intents and purposes, you need to join a server that has that pack installed. There are some mods which are "client side only" which can differ, but most mods have both client and server components. Client-side only mods would be things that impact only you, such as fps-improving mods.

Possibly-related: there's a known server-crash with GT-CE. Its been fixed in their pipeline and pushed to CurseForge for review I believe (possibly not yet available to public yet but keep an eye out)

I used to think this was a great idea, but it was of the less popular features of GT / Infitech I feel. There are oregen toys out there that allow "surface rocks" to appear over large ore veins. That might be something you could add to your exploration approach so that you don't have people...

I can only speculate that it has something to do with the fact that you're using tile entities, which aren't as reliable as blocks. Sorry :(

Its more likely the subfolder itself is just getting processed I think. I definitely did disable the default machines by deleting them.
