    FTB Performance over the years

This is really good point. The premise of the vote is that they're mutually exclusive. I would have maybe preferred to vote on whether I agree that's the case: "Do you feel that all the extra content is made at the sacrifice of performance"

    FTB Performance over the years

Its an interesting conversation. I'm looking back at some flagship packs such as FTB Ultimate. Which was so stupidly popular that its still played today. And that giant pack had....49 mods according to FTB Wiki (No idea if that's really accurate, but I'll just assume it didn't have 80+)...

To design a Hardcore or Expert Mode pack

Oh, you and I get that. Realistically speaking it makes lots of sense. I'm just talking about the wow-factor of the IE grinder thing vs the TE pulverizer. IE looks cooler, and therefore it must be better and should be later tech, obvs obvs, right?

To design a Hardcore or Expert Mode pack

"First, you build large and expensive multiblock structures, then you learn how to miniaturize them down to something more easily automated. " This is a concept I've struggled with. I've always wanted to take this approach, but I'm continuously faced with the feedback that "the big structures...

Problem Gregic Additons crash while loading ... any work arounds?

The mod had some considerable compatibility issues in general upon release. I'm told he released a new version (yesterday or the day before) that may address your issue directly.

    A Journal of a Determined Soul (Infitech2 Let's Journal)

Sadly no. I believe that was a GT4 thing, and yeah it was popular. Its been replaced (poorly) by a number of single block machines that perform similar functions.

Part of the problem I think is you're not reading some of the alternative ideas. People have suggested superior vein-finding techniques, but you've come up with your own scheme that makes little sense mathematically. Honestly Schneekey, we went into this knowing the pack wasn't suitable to...

Extruder easy-to-miss gotcha: virtually all metal recipes require MV power. An LV extruder is basically only good for soft materials such as rubber. Skipping the LV extruder is common.

I totally 100% support cheating in chunkloaders or adding in your preferred mod. Chunkloading is a meta/hardware issue. It has nothing to do with modpacks. I failed in my attempts to reduce the price of the recipe, but if it had been my choice, they'd be essentially free in single player...

    Refraction mod help?

I hadnt heard of the mod so I looked it up on curseforge. Their FAQ says to check their wiki, but they don't have a link to a wiki. Their github wiki link also does nothing. They do have a discord fwiw: https://discord.gg/tGFYcWz

I actually like the FTB one. Failing that I tend to use CC. You've already identified my two preferred options :p

    Mode that change ore spawning

There are some ore generation mods out there yes. One example is CofH World, which has a very robust generation system, although it can take a while to learn how to use. Custom Ore Generation also does it although I'm not particularly familiar with that one.

HWYLA is what you're looking for. TOP (The One Probe) is also popular. https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/hwyla https://minecraft.curseforge.com/projects/the-one-probe edit: asb3pe, I'm not sure I'm really answering your question. Your first part said "blocks" but then you later said...

    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

Yes yes, all I care about is civilized responses. If we feel that people aren't reading properly, let's address that in a better manner. As far as I can tell Desman's identified an interesting breakage of consistency, so that should be explored properly. If it can't be explored without...

Because you need to restock the furnace with nuggets (or hopper-in a bunch) and recraft the smelted nuggets back into ingots. If you can't find a way to mini-factorize it (with extra furnaces, crafting tricks, hoppers or whatever you fancy) and some way to easily get ingots out the other end...
