Direwolf20 1.10 Pack Casually Scarfing Down 6 Gigs of Private Bytes On The Home Menu

After getting at least six people (no kidding!) to try and identify the "drug culture crap", we finally found - and subsequently learned via UrbanDictionary - that "go fast" has a different meaning in the world of drug culture. I'm afraid, however, that in this case it's just a reference to the...

Direwolf20 1.10 Pack Casually Scarfing Down 6 Gigs of Private Bytes On The Home Menu

The "new system" is a major rewrite of the rendering engine. Not really possible to keep both around. The problem is not in the modding community not being considered, either. It's that we, as modders, and that includes both Forge itself and Forge mods, could use the ideas of the new system more...

Direwolf20 1.10 Pack Casually Scarfing Down 6 Gigs of Private Bytes On The Home Menu

Which drug culture references appear on the site? There was one (unrelated) meme someone rightfully pointed out as potentially offensive, but it was pulled within less than a day of the site going live (that is, when I became aware of their reasoning - which didn't occur to me immediately, as...

What's new in modded minecraft today?

The wait is over! After almost 3 months of silence, BuildCraft has finally released an update! Introducing BuildCraft 7.1.18 for Minecraft 1.7.10

What could I use as a substitute for ChickenChunks?

Also, remember that option 4 ("ghost chunkloading") has a much bigger impact on server performance than the other options, as Minecraft's engine does not take it into account, unloading those chunks every 30 seconds only to reload them again a tick later. It's more optimal to place a permanent...

How do you fix Build Craft pipe causing fatal error?

You need a newer version of BuildCraft.

[CHALLENGE] (v4.3-ish 6/7/18) Refugee to Regent Kingdom Building Challenge

You might want to look into the newer pipes I'm slowly working on. A lot of features are still missing, but here is a video of the current version. At the moment, I'm (very) slowly working on fluid piping. If you want functionality similar to BC gates, they integrate with Integrated Dynamics...

[CHALLENGE] (v4.3-ish 6/7/18) Refugee to Regent Kingdom Building Challenge

Very weird. I did do a lot of optimizations in BuildCraft 6.4-7.0, though - and for BuildCraft 8.0 (which is currently vaporware), I rewrote item movement calculation to be a LOT less intensive on the CPU (in the same way I implemented it in Charset, heh).

Do you have proof? I have a lot of messages from server administrators saying BC pipes cause less TPS lag issues than many other pipe mods.

Is it worth it to upgrade from a 1.6.4 pack to 1.7.10?

BuildCraft actually has had quite a lot of subtle new features added in 6.x and 7.x, including a complete graphical overhaul, Lenses, Filters, stained glass pipes, built-in Insertion Pipes and Gate Copiers, fluid sorting, massive optimizations, bugfixes, the move to RF, Builders were brought...

    Recent Events Discussion (RED) Thread

I have the build. It's real, although the RF support is very unpolished. Allegedly it took them less time to port IC2 to RF than it took me to create the "new power system" for BuildCraft - and that took 2.5 hours of coding.

1.8: what is holding you back?

Happens either way - remember when BuildCraft 6.1.5 was forced to break its API to restore an important feature and it broke Binnie's Mods for a few months, requiring me to create the world's hackiest workaround for FTB just so I didn't break Binnie's license? Or when RF's API had a breaking...

1.8: what is holding you back?

BuildCraft has been modular since its very first days. I do acknowledge that the current module split has not aged well, however I disagree that modularization is bad, it'd just be better if I ported Charset's JAR-o-matic to BuildCraft... which it was originally planned for. Hmm.

[Guide] How to run Infinity Evolved with 1.0GB RAM allocation

Our facade recipes data takes up 14MB!? Crazy. Thanks for the note, I'll try to fix it for 8.0 - however, the blueprint data will probably have to stay.

    1.8.9

BuildCraft? I'm pondering on some exciting things in my head which should fix some of the biggest issues with it, while AlexIIL is working on things which will add more much-needed content and improvements to some non-fleshed-out areas of the mod. Also, it's been active for pretty much all its...

What's new in modded minecraft today?

Sorry to interrupt your 1.8 par... Wait. BuildCraft 7.2.0 Beta is out for 1.8.9, and so is Compat 7.2.0. It mostly works, but breaks oil and fuel from 7.2.0-pre worlds to ensure (future - waiting on Forge fixes) compatibity with 1.7.10 worlds. Download it here.
