How do you fix Build Craft pipe causing fatal error?

Details of the issue:
In forge 1352 they changed something with empty pipes which when placing down buildcraft fluid pipes disconnects you from the world back the world screen because of a fatal error.
I have to use forge 1386 because I need it for Mantle and Natura. So how did you fix this in your modpacks? thanks for taking the time to look at this.​
