    New Buildcraft Textures...

I like the lack of gradients, but I am a man of soft, pastel colouring. About "the edging grey has no variation" - if we just add different colours to different machines like IC2 does, I believe it would look far, far worse.

    New Buildcraft Textures...

Actually, neptunepink agrees that the grey borders and screw holes are the primary similarity. The other things are either what used to be there, what is unavoidable, what is my personal taste or what is simply good design decisions. More colours is probably it. I'll look into it.

    New Buildcraft Textures...

Alright. I decided to give it an honest look. The main similarities I notice are the color scheme (they're both white! and they both have dark gray/black elements! however, the "BC" white is slightly warmer) and the fact we also have light "screw" dots on the corners of a machine's face...

    New Buildcraft Textures...

BuildCraft has needed a unified visual language for a long time. Every mod has had a trademark style - IC2 had its own (but they changed it in Experimental to 32x weirdness), TE has its own, Ender IO has its own, etc. But BC was all over the place, with textures often made by different people...

[1.7.10] Regrowth - A WIP HQM pack - Now Listed!

Strange. Keep in mind that fluid pipes always split liquids evenly between sides.

What's new in modded minecraft today?

BuildCraft 7.0.10! Let's hope this one actually deserves the "Stable". Available at the usual place. Changes: Some of these bugfixes are also present in BuildCraft 6.4.18, the long-term support release for people who for some reason are stuck on 6.4 or just want to wait with updating to 7...

Those little things that irk you about Minecraft

BuildCraft ignores metadata in items which don't have subtypes, like pickaxes but unlike dusts. Lists also allow ore dictionary-based sorting nowadays, though they will undergo a rewrite.

    Vanilla+ - Press Release

Tinker's Construct will make this pack non-vanilla-esque. It's just as big a game changer as the "tech mods".

    Agricraft and forestry

For BC 6, Forestry. For BC 7, BuildCraftCompat.

    Agricraft and forestry

I checked RailCraft's source code, apparently the engine must be powered for it to accept steam.

    Agricraft and forestry

No idea why. Make sure you're running the latest for all mods.

    Agricraft and forestry

Too slow for steam? The steam was designed to work with BC pipes and you can easily use gold pipes with two emerald inputs to feed 80 mB/t - there were some speed issues in early BC 6.4 but we fixed those.

What mods to use alongside Rotarycraft(+ addons)?

If you want autocrafting on request, that's what Logistics Pipes is for. Or you could just make your own "autocrafting on request" system by feeding Paper to the correct Recipe Packagers via Lenses or some other thingamajig. You could also use Delivery Robots, which provide a mini-routing system...

    Mod-of-the-Month: June 2015

I didn't imply that. My implication was that old mods aren't used as much nowadays and some people believe they should die.

    BuildCraft Quarry

I realized that a while after I posted it, but forgot to edit it. Whoops!

Tekkit 1.2.5, silly. If you want Classic so much, play it. We've all moved on, except for these crazy guys still maintaining these ancient relics of a time long gone by...

It's been out for a while. It's called Tekkit.

    BuildCraft Quarry

If a mod wants unbreakable blocks, they can capture BlockBreakEvents OR use the same tricks bedrock does. Those work reliably across BuildCraft.
