Mimicry's dust lets you double almost any smelting recipe. Theoretically, this works even for things like ME processor chips. Haven't tested on them, but I know it at least lets you get quadruple ore ouput steadily by grinding them into dust and then crafting with mimichite.

You can do this in many ways, using the MPS glider module or the Open Blocks hang glider, matched with an MPS jet pack, MPS jump booster, IC2 jet pack, IC2 quantum hover, basically anything that gets you up into the air :P

It has been crashing some with the new Monster pack, but it is still up and running most of the time. We usually post info on crashes on our forums.

The packs have already leaped from 1.4 to 1.6, and with those come a shitload of changes. Try OptiFine in FTB Ultimate and it's not too bad. Try it in Unleashed and MPS stuff goes crazy, as well as a bunch of rendering bugs. Try it in DW20 1.6... I wouldn't even dare

FC2/3 will teach you more specific mods, and end game stuff, while SP Season 6 is more early game and a bit of role play (them endermen!)

It breaks a million different mods, and all it really helps with in a large pack like this is connected textures and void fog. And void fog can be removed with other means.

I always take a cutlass and scythe. Mob control and heavy damage, they make a good pair.

There's a bunch of mods for removing void fog. Search around with google.

It is in online mode ATM, we are having issues with tick threading, and without it, chunk errors. Online mode has nothing to do with lag whatsoever

Well... What mod pack? Assuming you're using Unleashed, like most people do, there are a lot of IC2 plants that can be grown, and Forestry trees to breed, but I'm not the plant expert.

It's nice to see that FTB is further expanding into different types of mods, from the straight tech and magic ones it came from. I personally don't quite like the mod selection, mainly because it doesn't have ComputerCraft (I'm addicted to that mod!) but I'm sure other people will like it.

Bees are the way to go. Takes a bit of breeding, and automation, but once you get there, you can have as many of the bees going as you want, for free, effortless uranium. Or almost any other resource for that matter.
