I just recently visited AVP mod on minecraft forum and find this.
Not an actual update but pretty nice looking... (update screen?) ...thing.

On the other hand mod author (Ri5ux) is quitting modding. (sort of)
The mod will not die. Here is brief quote:
"Future of the mod:

I finish the 4.0 update.
No new feature updates after that. Bug fixes at the most.
Update the mod to new Minecraft versions if possible.
Rare, special occassion, updates (1-3 per year at most)"
He is attempting to work as web designer, so lets wish him luck.

Anyways, not sure how many people know about it, this mod looks pretty cool for early game RF generation. http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/2167349-kineticraft

A mod that adds kinetic RF generation. Run! Jump! Swing... but not too much or you'll hurt yourself.

I had to double check whats this mod about. After re-reading:
Running and jumping with the core in your inventory will create RF.
...my respond was similar to gif above... i must say its pretty interesting idea/mod. lol

I like mod authors that do this. This way the mod gets update each version and the mod dosn't die

Sangar, the creator of the great OpenComputers mod made this addon for NEI.

Crafting Costs
This is an addon for NotEnoughItems. Inspired by what was originally debug functionality in another mod, leveraging the recipe awareness of NEI this mod allows showing the overall - recursive - item costs for crafting an item. This makes it a log easier to judge the worth of items, and also has the practical effect that you can gather the raw materials for whatever you want to craft without manually going through nested recipes in NEI.

When there are multiple recipes available, the mod will choose the one with the least overall complexity, and breaks ties by preferring crafting processes with fewer outputs. For example, iron ingots can be crafted either by decomposing a block of iron, or melting iron ore - the melting process is preferred, because it has only one output, where the iron block gives nine ingots.

Run Up
Tired of jumping constantly when running through a forest or over a field just to get over a little hill or slight incline? Well then this mod might be for you! Inspired by things like IguanaTweaks (which features an option to permanently enable stepping over 1 block edges) and Thaumcraft 4's Boots of the Traveller, this mod provides slightly more!

This for the moment client-only mod will simply check the block underneath the player for the ones specified in the config (by default grass, sand, gravel, ice, snow cover, netherrack, soulsand, mycelium and endstone)!

If the block matches one of these your step height will be set to 1, allowing you to run unhindered! But as soon as you cross over to any other block your step height will be restored. Meaning you wont walk up on the 1 block high railing and fall off the stone brick bridge by accident! (Unless you add stone bricks to the config of course)

PickUp Control is now on Curse
This simple mod allows you to control what you pickup.
No more stuffing your trousers full of sand and dirt!

The way it works is simple.
There are 3 modes you can cycle through: auto, manual, and individual.
Auto is vanilla behaviour,
manual will only pickup items around you when you press the 'Pickup Key' (configurable),
and individual only picks up the items you are looking directly at when pressing the pickup key.
