Friend of mine is focusing on re-texturing Buildcraft, specifically the new refinery.

new day, 1 update, and that is @SpitefulFox with Forbidden Magic
SpitefulFox said:
v0.333
  • - Bugfix: Now uses the Blood Magic API. Is compatible with Blood Magic 1.0.1 and up
  • - Bugfix: Witchwood Wand no longer causes a crash if used with outdated versions of Ars Magica 2. Wand is still useless without a compatible version of AM2.
  • - Change: Transcendent Blood Orb and Bloody Scrivener's Tools can now be bound with keys like other Blood Magic items
  • - Addition: Chinese translation! Courtesy of Mrkwtkr

Reika's stuff

I had retired my rotary/reactor/electri-world till we saw performance fixes. Pleased to resurrect it quickly.

There's actually a really huge amount of goodies in @Reika's last update, but I'll single these out as favorites:

For playability:
  • RotaryCraft: Massive performance increases
For balance & game flow:
  • RotaryCraft: Magnetostatics and Pneumatics are now Tiered
For fun:
  • RotaryCraft: Added 256x gearbox
I don't understand this one but hope it positively impacts performance (or that another change to ReactorCraft does):
  • ReactorCraft: Steam only spins a turbine along the bottom
Good stuff.

That is an exploit fix.
Took me a while to get it running, but I have the latest version of Meteor, Reactor, Rotary, Dragon and ExpandedRedstone running.

@Reika, dunno if its an issue, but Rotary was 20c, and everything else was 20 (this was 3 hours ago or so).

An issue with a "freezing potion" caused me some grief (changed ID=30 to 40 to work), and I couldn't get an existing world to load. (crashlog available upon request.)

Started a new world, and encountered a vein of blast glass pane at level 10.

There's an extremely good chance I've botched a config somewhere, but putting a bug in your ear in case.

I'm running a modified Horizons, with a few of your mods added plus EnderIO, and a ton of mods removed.

You have screwed-up configs.

Kinda OT, but how do I contribute to the wiki? There are some neat uncovered mods that I want to help cover, and right now most of the useful information I've found was in ftbwiki.org

Any particularly friendly and less terse folks especially familiar with minecraft configs?
If blast glass pane = ID X, what causes that ID to load in veins underground?

Brand new world. Vanilla configs as generated by the mod. ID tweaked before world generation to resolve conflict.

This isn't technically big news. But I am working on a 1.7.2 modpack, I currently have most of the mods working together and just doing configs.
If you want to see a modlist it is here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zb654vKV8F5miUqeBlYG-og6wAbYzYPkhW67jCe6Eiw
The pack is called "Discoverlust", a portmanteau of Discovery and Wanderlust. Its basically just a pack for those wanting to try out some 1.7 but don't know what mods are out there. It probably won't be continued once the main FTB packs are out for 1.7 unless of course it garners a bit of attention.
I also have a github where I will be storing the configs for people to suggest modifications. It also includes a proper modlist https://github.com/VikeStep/Discoverlust

I am still waiting on 8 more permissions as you can see in that speadsheet so once they are done I might start releasing it to the public. If you are wanting to help test out the pack before its release (as a private pack for permissions reasons), please send me a PM. However you must have a) at least 2GB RAM (its a beasty pack so far for some reason) b) you must know how to make a pack given just mods and configs, I am using MultiMC with this pack quite fine c) You are fine with buggy worlds and understand they won't survive updates.

I'd say I may have a first proper version for public use within 1 - 3 weeks

This isn't the place to advertise your modpack. Especially one without permissions that can't be hosted on the launcher.

Nice list sir. I didn't know so many mods were 1.7able.

its technically not done and it will be hosted later when i get the perms. It's kind of like saying, here is an upcoming modpack. I guess I should've thought about that before I posted. But I hope you guys will let this slide

Vike you do so much for the community that guy probably just didn't know who you are or how much time and effort you put into changelogs. This is modded minecraft news because it will be the first large 1.7 pack.
