I've disabled standard crops of magical crops in my RR, it just gave me too many seeds when combined with BoP /Growthcraft /Witchery, and any seed can't produce seed oil is not a good seed XD

Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk

in my opinion there should be a tool that'd allow you to gather seeds from mods, instead of them dropping everywhere when you're just breaking grass... I like mods that add new crops, but I don't like starting a new world and get an inventory full of seeds within the first 2 minutes...
or mods should add a very very cheap seed bag

Possible Minecraft Movie in co-ordation with Warner Brothers

dear god... how the hell do they want to make a movie-length video out of Minecraft?
there better be some mods in that movie otherwise it'll get boring reaaaaaaaaally fast...

That "film", it'll be a story about the quest for the elusive modding API. While MC has an environment, there's no background story. One would have to be invented, like the Lego movie.

Although they're both awesome, they are both REALLY shitty actors :p
Now hang on there, Direwolf's quest against the proto-ur ghast that looked suspiciously like a wither in his season 5 lets play was a tour de force.

Also when I was new to modded minecraft I was watching some random episodes from season 4 and for awhile he had me convinced that the weird "endermen" shenanigans during the finale was actual mod functionality

new day, new update. starting of with some Botania as @Vazkii has released a public BETA version of Botania
logo.png
Botania is a magic tech mod based on nature. It's still being developed. This thread is based for discussion, so help yourself to some. It's inspired by other magic mods, such as Thaumcraft or Blood Magic.

Beta Preview Download
Let me get this straight. This is a beta preview. You may download and play with it (and if you find bugs, do report them on the github ), but it's by no means complete. Beta testers say it's pretty stable, but I give you no guarantees. There is some content, and the mod is fully playable in survival, everything is explained in the Lexica Botania. To get started in the mod, just craft it:

Everything about the mod is in there, have a look at the entries in italics before checking the others, these are the most important.

Introduction
To get started in Botania, one needs to find magical flowers around the world, they spawn in one of 16 colors. These flowers can be made into petals, which are the main crafting material in the mod.

An ingame documentation book exists, in the form of the Lexica Botania. It tells you how the mod works. You can make it by combining a book with any sapling.

Botania features a power system called Mana, which is a somewhat original power system, compared to most others out there. It's a power system that requires aiming and time coordination, as the power does not go where you want automatically or instantaneously, for more info, see the following video:

The Mana can also be applied for other tasks, such as Runic Infusion (see video below), enchanting, repairing tools or powering magical artifacts.

Blood Magic recently updated to 1.7.2. Was waiting to see if anyone would notice! :D
I did :p just forgot to post about it. But currently 1.7.x isn't such a big deal in the modpack community as many major mods are not yet updated. Once we see stuff like Railcraft, TE3 and the other big ones for 1.7 this will obviously change and more people will look out for mods which have updated to 1.7 already.

NEI for me. I've come to a point in modded that I can't remember all the recipes anymore. :p once NEI updates, I start building myself private packs.
