Well, bugger...erm...notsure how to do this one...Paddling, do you want to take over the_j's role?
Day is over, recap is en route
At the end of what had been a very long day, the Town had made a decision. Armed with all the knowledge and potential benefit derived from the mysterious message, they took the route so frequently travelled and decided to lynch Nobody. LivingAngryCheese tried to fight off the others, yelling that they would protect Nobody. Needless to say they were unsuccessful. As they were led up to the gallows, Nobody requested the right to say a few last words.
"What is a Messenger but a nobody? The messenger is always anonymous, as the message is always the most important thing. With the message delivered, the messenger is no more. So, I give you a message, as I have done before. You have been judged by the Deep Ones and found guilty. The sentence? Chaos, death and insanity. Brother shall turn on brother, mistrust will fester in your hearts, and death will be a constant companion on your journey into your own private abyss."
At this point the noose was swiftly thrown over Nobody's head and he was dropped. The body lay still and then changed into a hideous being covered in scales and dripping with a strange fluid. The voice of Nobody boomed out again, this time speaking straight into the minds of those present.
"Those of you who spoke against me will be punished!" At this point, 9 people collapsed. Some screamed, others cried. One person yelled out "Make the voices stop!" This continued for a minute, before all who were afflicted slumped back down, white-faced and sweating. The town dispersed to their homes, a dark cloud hanging over them.
Even the silence of the night offered little respite. The piercing screams of LivingAngryCheese tore through the air as the life was ripped from his body by fangs and claws. None failed to hear the sounds of his demise.
In the morning, as they interred what was left of LivingAngryCheese, a tree in the graveyard collapsed. Gideonseymour, who was stood beneath it, was instantly killed by a forceful blow to the head.
Nobody was lynched! He was the Messenger, and the influence of the Deep Ones is now at work within the town.
LivingAngryCheese was murdered by wolves! He was a bodyguard. I'd say you might want to bring him back, but...
Gideonseymour was smited! He was the Retributionist.
