That's not the part that I took issue with. Saying something "is for girls", whilst implying that one is above that same something (because one is not a girl) sends the message that girls are lesser than blokes. It's subtle, but it's there.

I wanted to say its for p***es. Sorry if saying that women build better than men offended you. Not like I think Bdoubleo and arkasmc are the best builders ever or nothing.

Now this is crazy :D
My first two large scale projects were a 1:1 scale Roman Colosseum and an underwater dome from bedrock to just over sea level (built into a hollowed out bowl so the dome didn't look like it was in at the bottom of a pit). Both of these were completed in vanilla, the Colosseum I started with Minecraft Alpha 1.1.2_01! I've got a fair number of screenshots, if there is any interest I'll make a thread about building them.

To quote Ricky Gervais: "just because you are offended, does not mean you are right."
Of course, he was aiming this at religious people, but it just as much applies here... sorta...

I don't think Dravarden truly meant what he said seriously, it was more of an offhand jokey comment. There really isn't any need to get upset about it.

Jebus you people love drama.

Someone made a comment.
Someone else expressed they found the comment offensive.
Every other post after (including this one) is litter.
Does every single feking post on this forum have to derail after the 3rd or 4th page ffs ?

I know what you mean. I have a paddy friend who, like you, still likes to laud about his british roots. But he's been living in Ireland for over 5 years, it's his home now ... so he's a paddy, whether he realizes it or not. We do :)

I've lived in Ireland for close to 8 years now. Both of my parents are English, their parents were English, and their parents were English. I am English and will NEVER class myself as Irish.

8 years?! okay.

We are all free to "class" ourselves as we choose, as are others to perceive differently. What might appear trivial to you (like one's gender being used in a derogatory way) may not feel that way to you, because its not aimed at you. Likewise, your resistance to the notion that you are a paddy might seem ridiculous to many of us - but if you find it denigrating, then that's how how you feel, and that's fair enough.

Can we talk about playing FTB please?

Sometimes if I accidentally craft the wrong thing or too much of something (for instance using shift by mistake) I'll immediately "undo" with the help of NEI. Yeah it's a bit scummy but it's not like I'm gaining anything, just reverting the very annoying consequences of a moment's oversight.

I call that ''fixing mod errors''

always, with those fucking microblocks, want to make 8 anti covers? TOO BAD, and it gives me 4 anticovers and 5 triple panels.

We all got different world views and because of this get offended for different reasons.

Yeah, I experienced that myself over the last couple days - after deleting my second pickaxe of the core, a shovel of the earthmover, two prototype omnitools, and a frigging sign... (seriously? The right click is the only damn common denominator) I ended up re-enabling cheat mode.

My personal crazy has got me gutting my base and storage system again... everytime I say 'NOW I'm going to re-build it nice and streamlined, I get Wile E. Coyote's base again...

I build my bases under a lake.
As in, the entrance is at the bottom of the lake. Two signs hold the water back, and a small flight of stairs leads down to the base itself.

That's one reason I dislike dynamic maps on servers. You go to all the trouble of hiding a base. Making sure no one ever see's you enter or leave.
Your secrect identity is safe.
Then people look at the dynamic map and see your player icon spening a huge amount of time seemingly in a lake.
Next thing you know you have dozens of tourists with cameras poking around your base and your secrect supper villain identity is out.

Pretty sure Batman never had this problem.

I don't automate. I look after all my machines manually, barring my powered furnace -> pulveriser -> chest and my sawmill -> chest setup. Yes, that means I don't even have a chest attached to my assembly table (that has 36 lasers, by the way). I like babysitting my machines! It makes me feel better.

I also really hate normal doors and avoid using them wherever possible. I prefer piston doors and fence gates with pressure plates under them. And hence, I never crafted another door in my life... my piston doors are so much cooler, anyways.
