All things being equal Bioms O plenty might be a better mod than Extra bioms. But we can't simply remove Extra bioms as that would trash all existing worlds. And we can't add it as well as that would create way to big a mess.

Actually, you can! See, the author evidently realized this could happen and what he did was make it so that new worlds set the default level-type in your server.properties to a special type to get Biomes O Plenty. You can install both mods and they do, in fact, work. Meaning that people using ExtraBiomesXL in a pack with both will not be penalized, but people starting new worlds can get more biomes.

I sort of don't understand what happened with BoP's author and the ExtraBiomesXL team. I sort of don't care. What I do care about is the sense of adventure I feel when walking around my minecraft world, and I know that BoP really does this for me. They have some really great worldgen in that mod.

Also I read nothing in that addon plugin about bees IC2 rubber trees or a number of other bioms specific addons.

They spawn in all biomes.

And another thing why did you say "we're not allowed ot. Surly you're not advertising your own mod. That's just in bad form. :p

I do not know what you're talking about. I say, "We" as "We as the community of players and developers." Mod developers are just players who know more about programming than the average player, but we're all part of the same community.

I would suggest that XenosReliquary not make it into the Ultimate pack. It's a duping mod full of overpowered items and tools designed for little kids who want easy mode without any work or challenge. It even includes the removed-from-EE Destruction Catalyst... again.

Certain aspects of the mod may be overpowered, but having loads of forestry farms creating unlimited fuel for your boilers could also be said to be overpowered. Also, the destruction Catalyst now needs 1 gunpowder per 9 blocks, and it can't mine most ores, and it doesn't even give you the items it destroys - it's only useful as a more precise filler.

Sssh. We're not supposed to talk about mods here anymore or the thread my vanish without warning! You're supposed to go to the mod discussion forum that 90% of the forum population ignores, or send a PM.

Sure...
Anyways...

I would suggest possibly adding some of the plugins that denoflions makes, if he gives permission. I like some of the ideas behind the mods and could add a lot to the buildcraft related mods. He also has plugins for thaumcraft and ic2 too.

I got a small, obsidian pressure plate like mod suggestion: "Cartographer". Simply put: fixes vanilla maps.

http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic...-using-item-frames-forgemodloader-compatible/

Second suggestion: "chisel". For a modpack this big the amount of cool building blocks is just kinda low. This mod adds a great variaty of cosmetic blocks

http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1749374-151smpforge-chisel/page__st__100

Third suggestion: "Enhanced Portals". Makes custom portal sizes and colours aswell as allowing traveling inside the same dimension. This kind of functionallity should not be hidden behind a big lottery or emerald grind fest ala mystcraft.

Mystcraft also has a few very huge downsides. For starters the link modefier is not craftable meaning no travelling inside the same dimenson. Additionally when more biome mods are added the amount of biome pages makes the chances of finding a crystal page realy low. To top it off, mystcraft is often disabled on servers.

Compact solars. Yes, we have advanced solars, but having compact solars too would solve a big problem. Not the "need" of cheaper solars panels, as compact solars is balanced (you need 512 regular solars panels to make a HV one, and it produce as much as 512 regular ones, and the transformers in the craft make them even more expensive. For more powerful solar panels (and more expensive), we have advanced solars), so we can install the mod without having balance issues, and it'll help for compatibility for Direwolf maps moved to Ultimate.

It'll solve a bigger problem:

All those players who are complaining on the forums about the lack of this mod will shut up.

The forum will become a quieter place. We really need that.

Intra-linking is an upcoming feature.
Make a flat age get the moulder power suit speed boosting legging. Pick a direction and run. Keep A eye on the map and you'll run into many library.
Complane to the server guys or play on a better server.

+1 for Cartographer and Chisel, but we don't need Enhanced Portals.

Nice and all, but mystcraft is about creating worlds. The portals is a side aspect of it. Portals being a rather mayor feature it should not be locked behind a grind as a secondary aspect of a mod that requires other mods to lower the grind. Now if you want to discuss this further do go to the mods section where i will happely counter anny possible arguments one can make against this ;)

I'm with benben on this. Chisel Mod gets a +9001 from me and every other architect out there. But the portals are a no-no. Portals aren't a major feature of Mystcraft, they're a bonus feature. Mystcraft is all about the books and writing. Just as the MYST game series it's based on is, and there are no "portals" in that until Myst 5 (which should be considered completely unrelated to the first 4).

People actually use maps?

Upon reading some posts, I really can recommend mods like Chisel, Liquid Metals, and Travelling Houses. I'm using some of these in my own modpack now (not Chisel yet, sadly), and the only one that's been buggy at all was the lattermost of the third (and even then, not too bad).

Hello FTB community,

i found a little mod that got not much attention that adds 2 stylisch ladders to the game
one is a Retractable Ladder the other one a moveable strudy ladder

the mod is called: "chupmacabre's ladder kit"

the ladders are cool for tree houses and other stuff.
i use it personally but it would be great if this mod could find its way in the ftb pack
