Here's mine, at the request of Entropy;

I present, Frostspear! very WIP, only 20% finished!,

Base location as seen from space, a glacier biome as an island in the middle of a large lake;

maprc.png

Very low-quality Dynmap render of the island;

fromspace.png

The island and recently erected thaumcraft tower shell, needs interior/windows/deco etc;

towerek.png

Going inside the base and looking back (no, you're not getting to see the entrance, it's not finished :p );

corridori.png

The same corridor but looking from atop the bridge linking the North and South corridors, the fountain is just visible at the back;

bridged.png

The South corridor and windows that look down into the market;

southcorridor.png

The market itself;

marketi.png

Heading about 150 blocks East of the main door we get to my tranquil twilight garden complete with rainbow oak and nagastone border;

twilightgarden.png

A well-timed graphical bug that allowed us to have a look inside :p;

buggedn.png

I was going to stop there because 80% isn't finished, but here's 3 bonus pics, first is my powerplant, 20 magmatics and 20 biomass engines (seed oil, but not shown)
connected to an auto-regulating energy cell and then distributed via tesseract or energy bridge, lava comes from MFR lava-makers powered by IC2 solars on the top of the island via more tesseracts;

powerplantb.png

A recent discovery, turns out you can drag spawners with the gravity gun throu Mystcraft portals, so here we have a selection of twilight mobs that i'll use for fuel and grinding (protip, don't try to take a Wisp spawner back to your base, you're gonna have a bad time);

mobsi.png

Final pic is my farms in a VERY WIP L-shaped room that's about 50*35*30, at the very back we have a forestry multifarm with 4 chestnut trees in it producing a lot of seed oil, on the left we have a RP2 block-breaker cactus/reed farm, rear right is a Thaumcraft golem wheat farm, and bottom is a MFR rubbertree farm;

^^

Is that ... ice? Ice now looks that way in BDCraft? I greatly prefer the new texture if it is.

This is my base from my server - I'm in the middle of manually updating to 1.5 (Xycraft + ChickenChunks bug is killing me...), so it won't be finished on the server, but I do have the world downloaded and may finish it up in SSP.

http://imgur.com/a/zHiVb#0

The whole thing is built from warded glass and stone, the floors are all 3 blocks thick to acommodate lights and still prevent random people dropping in by digging under and up - I'd originally intended to have the whole base colour coded\access restricted and have player detectors for people to click on and open up whichever areas they had access to, but I never got that far, unfortunately.

Alright. So, I'm in the process of moving my base, and this is the new prospective area. This will take me a long, long time to do anything with, considering I'm not even done digging out my base area yet... but I'll post again when I make some tangible progress.

Is that a Mystcraft age? It looks pretty nice!

Also I noticed that you're using even numbers for the width of your doors and your stairs. Even numbers are evil. Why would you do that?

Actually, it's just a random mountain ridge biome I found less than 400 blocks away from my original base.

Odd numbers? Yuck. I don't know why I always do even numbers, but I allllways do even numbers. It's a habit that I simply cannot drop.

Trust me, I don't even plan this out consciously.

The problem is that my doors are ALWAYS 2x2. Always. I like them that way. Obviously, if I want my base to be symmetrical, the rest of the base needs to be evenly spaced on either side of the door, like in the picture.

That tends to lead to everything being even.

So it's an endless, vicious cycle of even spaces forcing you to have more even spaces. My poor, poor friend. I pity you deeply. I hope you one day manage to break out of the cruel even cycle!

Trust me, I do too. I've had large projects turn out terribly because they were even.
