Impressive asthetics. I really like the hydroageas and theralily farms.
On the thermalily farm pic, is that metal grate a trapdoor?
Also, your treehouse has a regular giant tree at the center, or did you build that was well?
I built the center, and I used a carpenter's trapdoor from Carpenter's Blocks, which I used an alternate iron block as the cover thanks to Chisel, the trapdoor leads underground to the maintenance room where the mentioned Serenade of the Nether operates when the mana pool isn't full. And thanks!

May I recommend industrial apiaries rather than alvieries if you have gendustry. With 8 production upgrades on those bad boys you'll be urinating honey. I'm approaching 200k royal jelly/honeydew and over a million honey drops/beeswax
I really don't get gendustry. What is the fun in it if you just make masses of products with no effort? Make more alvearies and up the necessary production of frames, jelly etc. to get it instead.

Anyhow, I can't wait to get my stationary computer. I got a great base planned out to play with! Ender IO lights all over the base, eh? That'll be fun to plan out and implement! :D

People use gendustry so they don't have to spend the next three years trying to get the bee they want.

I use Gendustry now that I'm in 1.6.4 because back in 1.4 and 1.5 I have bred almost every bee species. It was fun, but a bit too tedious to threepeat.

Well, to get all the bees without a hassle is pretty much cheating, since you can get pretty much every material you'd ever want from them once you did. It's one thing though once you get all the bees and want to up the production.

I could look at those bee housings running on power as the next tier after alvearies. But I wouldn't use the breeding mechanics from Gendustry ...

To each their own. Some view it as cheating, others don't. Gendustry makes a good power sink mod, which is what I use it for.

I need interior design tips for future buildings. On 1.6 I made the same structure on Monster and RR, but I don't like to have empty spaces like these. The first two images are from Monster.

These are from RR and they're much clearer. The size is the same, but it has two floors.

This is an example of a small satellite building (for Ars Magica stuff). I like it more than the large building but there are so many libraries... what if I didn't have those?

Define Empty Space? I mean, I like big, airy spaces. My latest house has six-block tall floors, and interior floors unencumbered by obstructions.

Define Empty Space?

Second spoiler: the four corners. One has just two chests and the thaumcraft research table, another one has the enchanting table with libraries, the third one has some chests and the infernal furnace (not shown), the fourth one has nothing in it. They're small 7x7 boxes, but the building is not huge, so they seem empty and definitely not well-utilized.

Has anyone got an original mob spawner setup? I'm trying to build a new one but I can't figure a nice way of setting one...just the regular square with the autospawner in the center :/

Anyway if someone has a pretty mobspawning room please post pics! Trying to find some inspiration ^^. Specially interested in two-floors setups if anyone managed it :p

Ah. Well, in that case, I suggest going a little nuts with Bibliocraft. Shelves and item racks in one corner for potion brewing, and in the other, a table and chair, with a computer and the Bibliocraft bookshelves. The problem with the vanilla shelves is that you can't read the books. Bibliocraft solves that problem.

@Stronp: Multiple levels. instead of just a flat floor, slope the ground down a few blocks. Perhaps in a pyramid shape, so they'll push each other to the edges until they fall.

The thing is, breeding new species gets very old after a while, especially since there are always intermediate species which aren't of any use except to extend the time you need in order to reach the next one. With regular bee breeding, the time/benefit ratio is absolutely horrible, and that time is spent with tedious and repetitive activity ruled by the whims of the Random Number God on top of it. I've bred about 20-30 species the hard way and decided I had enough.

(hopefully I edited the post right) I'll just talk about this room here. The skulls/heads and crystals can be moved below the altar to free up space around the pedestals to avoid the cluttered look.
I think the altar recognizes up to 5 blocks below the middle pedestal.

The "mess" is intended in this case. The skulls above the door are just random, so all the stuff in the corners. But yeah, I'll move everything under the altar next time. This is a better view

Wile the messy look is intended, it does cause some issues or potential problems with difficult infusions. I wouldn't want to have to run over and around those heads to replace knocked off items :)

I do have to say tho' it's looking quite good!

Bear in mind that any heads/skulls, candles, crystals etc. (within the 12 horizontal radius, +5 and -10 vertical box) that do not have a opposite partner will actually contribute to instability. So random decorations with those things would be strongly inadvisable.
