If YOU had only one mod to take out of Ultimate, forever, what would it be?

My vote: flat bedrock. Not really sure why either. Flat bedrock is more useful than vanilla bedrock much of the time, but it doesn't feel right to me.

Speaking personally, Inventory Tweaks. My hate of that mod is something special, and something I know other people just plain don't understand. It's a personal problem.

As for Red Power 2, though, I have never really liked the mechanical side of the mod all that much. The microblocks have become something I really hate living without >.> I'd be ok with it gone personally, so long as there was an suitable replacement.

But yea like I said there is a renewable dragon egg recipe. AND it's not cheaty
Cheating is different from simple/fun. Changing everything to Gregtech-esque recipes that require 3 days to make doesn't make something balanced.

That being said, where is this "How well known are you" thread? Search seems to be pooping right now.
 
I don't really 'dislike' any one mod, so I will say Obsidian Plates on the basis that Thaumcraft offers the same but improved function.

I have no problems with any of the mods, but If I had to take one out...I'd probably take out Xeno's Requilary. I love it it to bits, but I wouldn't mind much if I had to lose it.

I understand actually, don't know how many times I put down a machine on a extreme voltage line when suddenly an unupgraded machine pops into my hotbar and there's a massive explosion. I know to turn it on and off, but sometimes I forget :/
 
I would probably take out redpower. It's a great mod and all, but it's kind of becoming far too much of an anchor for FTB. There's lots of other mods that do the exact same thing. Buildcraft and industrialcraft would probably be pulled too if it weren't for all the addons that they have.

So much hate on redpower :(

Even if I agree on many of the points, it still makes me sad. I wish that elo would let someone work with her on it, but I completely understand not wanting other coders on your projects.
I think people are more annoyed with FTB and Redpower anchoring it down, not actual RP2. I for one would take out Redpower2 until it's updated. I'd still miss the Sickle, bags, Project table (even though someone made a project table mod so i dont have to download Rp2 just for 1 block) and flax.

Computer Craft. It's an amazing mod, don't get me wrong. I love everything it does, but it does it too easily. 1 turtle, some coal (or lava buckets) and you have a self sustaining infinite mining machine (if you can code it right and have wireless rednet set correctly). I can't use frames correctly, but even if I could, what would be the point when you can make a single turtle do it all AND make it ignore specific block types?
 
Not every machine in tube network has a replacement in Ultimate. And don't suggest Buildcraft. Buildcraft is tier1. RP2 is tier2.

If you consider buildcraft t1, then honestly you haven't ever used gates.

But that would be a discussion for a different thread as it would move this off topic and I fear the hand of Jaded coming.

I do partially agree with the removal of rp2, only because of eloraam's rl schedule holding it back (no disrespect ment to elo.) Or maybe a second ultimate pack without rp2.

I didn't use them much, yes. And I see that they might be useful, but they don't solve some of the problems BC has.

But if you are speaking of removing RP because of delays, I can agree with it. I even try to not use RP because of that. I was just saying that RP is not "easily replaceable by other mods".
